    this is go ing to be a long tread if it gets going. for every success story theres countless broken dreams, do you know of any boxers that started out solely to become journeymen.

    lol, my first thought too... The Road Warrior

    ok, its a dismal thought about what journeymen's go thru. But some have a good day, pulls off an upset, and captures a moment of glory. A good portion of them are faded blue chippers who had much promise going for them, either falling short due to over-hyping, lack of true fighting spirit (Allan Green), or just plain lack of skill/discipline....

    Jason Gavern.......Robert Hawkins.....Julius Long......Manny Augustus. 3 of my favorite journeymen.

    Although Manny coulda been so much more if he was rightly handled earlier in his career.:-(
