Floyd to fight Erik Morales on May 5th? GBP claims Floyd approached them.

    Morales fought on the Mayweather-Ortiz undercard. Morales has been looking at going to 140 to win a belt there. Mayweather probably has contacted GBP and Morales regarding May 5th to fight ON THE CARD

    Mayweather said directly he wants Pacquaio on May 5th. Pacquaio hasnt responded. Arum has responded and said:
    1. mgm is no good even though Pacquaio has fought in vegas a dozen times
    2. oh manny "might" have congress duties that day
    3. Mayweather actually wants to fight morales on may 5th, even though he is calling out pacquaio, we dont want to entertain that idea because its somehow code language to mean mayweather wants morales

    Arum never once said lets talk and see if we can make something work

    This very sadly will be no joke, the date chosen is deliberate, the opponent is Mexican and Floyd has Morales lined up. It fits Floyd's m.o. perfectly, high profile smaller fighter past his prime offering the highest reward for the lowest risk. This is the midget his team have in mind. Erik also holds the prized WBC 140lb belt, it all fits.....

    with so much thrash talk from arum against mayweather, i wouldn't be surprised if arum is goading floyd into telling lenny or al to make the call.

    after all, drug testing isn't an issue anymore.

    Cinco de Mayo has been chosen deliberately, as for a Morales Maidana rematch it's just one of the options Gomez mentions in the article. In terms of reward, a Floyd fight offers the biggest financial return for Erik.

    This confirms that Floyd has been trolling around this board himself. He must have seen the thread poll as to who is higher ATG between him and Morales and he wants to prove you ESBrs wrong.

    Floyd ain't exactly a killer in the ring, so I doubt someone like Morales would be afraid to face him at 147.
