I think Kirkland's people would accept this fight

Would you guys pay for a Kirkland PPV?

The HBO commentators were already trying to shove a Kirkland PPV down our throats by suggesting that this kinda fight should be PPV! pertaining to the Kirkland-Angulo fight.

I enjoyed the fight a lot but I don't think I would have dropped $$ on it.

Just Kirkland, without a competitive undercard? No.

Kirkland in a match-up like the Angulo one, or Lara, with a deep card? :good

    Was Angulo-Kirkland an elimination fight?

For Alvarez's WBC middleweight title, yes.

Lara is most likely Kirkland's next opponent. Although there is a clamor for James to face Canelo, a fight of that caliber shouldn't be rushed. I'd like to see Kirkland fight on Canelo's next under-card, (after the Cintron fight) - perhaps against Lara - and then have the winners of each bout face off against each other.

Lara is a ****in G. Soon enough he'll be calling out the winner of Froch-Ward, Chad Dawson and then Vitali.

I hear what youer saying on the better technical skills of Canelo but I dont think that gives him a huge advantage over James because hes a slow starter and his chin havent been tested. However I dont think James should fight Canelo at this time because the big money fight for them is down the line. Thier two styles will make for a great fight. It will be a Frazier/Ali type fight.:bbb:bbb

Why would Kirkland fight Lara if Kirkland is in line for a title shot?

IB, why would Kirkland fight Lara before Canelo? Why? People wouldn't say Kirkland ducked Lara if he fought Canelo, would they? No, they wouldn't stoop that low.

*in my Timothy Bradley Brand voice* Let them build it up Both guys in this particular case deserve more money than they would get if they did it now

Ya know....the man has walked through the hell to get here and he's gonna delay it for Lara:-( Only if Canelo ducks him and vacates could I see him fighting Lara, and then it would have to be for the title.:good

They need to make the fight.

The WBC changed the fight from an eliminator to a semi final bull****, so Kirkland isn't Canelo's mandatory.
