Does the coming 3rd fight follows the trend in the first 2 fights? PAC starts fast then JMM catches up in the 5th to 7th but would need a KD or KO in the 12th in order to secure a win.
They were close and competitive fights from two fighters of different styles. The exaggeration comes from those claiming Marquez schooled Pacquiao. You don't school a guy and get knocked down and wobbled the amount of times Marquez was over two fights. I especially love how they choose to ignore the knockdowns as if they didn't exist and mean nothing in boxing, but love to post gifs of Marquez landing some big punches of his own as proof of his dominance.
getting knockdown 3 times and earning a draw or even a lost of 1 point is a win imo. Pacquiao couldnt finish. as for the 2nd fight, i had marquez winning by 2 pts. also Marquez won more rounds, what if marquez only got kd once in the first fight? as for this third fight, i believe Marquez will pull the upset. if he plays it smart.
atsch But he wasn't. He got knocked down 3 times. Pac deserved a 10-6 round, he blitzed Marquez. That was the most dominant round in the 24 they fought. You can't ignore knockdowns and their scoring. Might aswell ignore KOs too. Marquez was down 5 points after the 2nd round, he had to win 8-2 in the remaining 10 rounds to take the victory. You'd have to be generous to Marquez or swayed by the romanticism of his comeback to have given him 8 or more of the remaining rounds. Pacquiao had more of a legit claim for being robbed in the first fight, given the scoring error in the first cost him the fight. Second fight was extremely close, no schooling there. Given the closeness of it, it was appropriate Pacquiao won the fight with his knockdown, Marquez made to pay for making the biggest mistake of the fight and not learning from the first fight in getting caught and dropped to canvas.
Two of the judges scored round 6 for Pacquiao in their rematch. The only difference between that round and the many others Marquez controlled and won clearly is that Pacquiao actually landed an occasional blow. Look at round 6 here, it cant be mistaken for a Pacquiao round unless you're dishonest or a *******...... Marquez outgeneraled Pacquiao in round 6 by a landslide, yet 2 or 3 judges corruptly scored for Pacquiao.
This was the bigger error in judging in the 2nd fight. I couldn't understand that one, if I remember even Lampley said afterwards "Clear Marquez round." You couldn't say that too often during their second bout.
I have never seen the spanish version of Marquez-Pacquiao. When I just watched round 6 right now, one of the commentators noted something to the effect that they would feel comfortable noting that Marquez has the fight well in hand at this point if not for the sense that they get that Pacquiao is just a punch away from turning the tide and hurting Marquez. .......thats so true. Thats the sense I got as I watched it live as it was happening......Marquez is banking the rounds but Pacquiao is riding that edge of just being competitive enough to warrant one to think he has full capacity to turn the tide of the fight with a single shot. ......the commentators noted that that feeling was keeping them on the edge of their seats even though Marquez was controlling Pacquiao.

Round 6 of Fight #2 is one of the three rounds the judges were not in total agreement. The judges were in total agreement in 9 out the 12 rounds which was excellent already in any fight judging standards. The judging error in Round 1 of Fight #1 is more blatant which cost Pacquiao the victory.
