That's still enormous when you consider just how **** of a mismatch that fight was on paper. Nobody outside of American cared a toss about that joke of a fight.

i think someone already explained the premise of the article.

however, hbo did release pac-clottey and it was just 700k. so why wouldnt hbo release this figure? what is hbo hiding?

    :deal:happy

its rather tiresome to read *******s & *****s try this "1-up" game with each other. Kind of reminds me of old elementary school days when you would brag about "My father is better / can beat up your dad" mentality....

    absolute juvenile....

Showtime doesn't have a history of Showtime officials releasing official figures. HBO does. That's the point of the article if you care to read. (you didn't didn't you otherwise you will understand)

That is called hearsay. There is no official announcement of figures coming from an HBO official. There is a legal distinction here. I'm not saying it is true. The writer just made a good point. You can see it if you take off your bias and ****.

  10. Ortiz is a no known idiot by casuals nor by boxing fans. Fact

Pacquiao vs Marquez will bomb too. Believe me

What are the official numbers? Have they been released? If not, then why?

i asked someone from hbo, he said the real number is 500k:rofl:rofl:hi:

WHY IS HBO HIDING FLOYD-ORTIZ PPV? THEY RELEASED PAC-CLOTTEY, ADN IT WAS ONLY 700K. HMMM.

Well if HBO will also not release an official number for Pac-JMM 3 then you are right. Might be good so Floyd-Pac can be made.

Pac-Mosley did between 1.3 and 1.4 million PPV buys according to the las vegas review journal.

I've never believed that Floyd drew big numbers unless he has a very attractive partner. Who likes him enough to pay to watch him fight some overmatched guy? Ghetto dudes who can't afford the ppv in the first place. He's not popular with any other demographic, he's an *******. Take away the Mexicans who bought in to watch JMM fight him, the huge crowd that Oscar brings in, Hatton and his global popularity and all you have left is a cutie boxer who specializes in stopping a fight from breaking out who nobody likes. He's never been a huge ppv draw by himself.
