All this comes down to how you define "world class". I see what you guys are saying though. I guess my definition is a bit more stringent.

At some point, it has to be affected that way.

Ichida has 9 KOs, yep......9 and his 10th is Kirkland.

Styles make fight cannot be an excuse everytime someone wants to rank a fighter ghigher than he should be. A>B, B>C, therefore A>C is actually logical in human Philosophy (Logic 101).

Kirkland is a bum. End thread.

Apologies but I forget,is Kirkland now the mandatory for WBC belt? I'm sure that's what I heard the commentators saying.I understand why Angulo had a big fan base, but I've always felt he had obvious limits.Kirkland is going to appeal to the TV companies because he's good for a shootout. As for world class,I agree with the Klion who said that it depends on your personal definition. This is not in anyway a slight on Kirkland, but I will reserve judgement until he takes on a proven name with real quality defence. He could well be world class, but not yet for me.If JK can keep up the excitement, the TV people will make sure he gets name fights.

Ishida is not a world class fighter and he did not get overly excited and throw a milliions punches just because he dropped Kirkland. Maybe just maybe, Kirkland is the Ishida of the Angulo fight. We have to wait and see.

    Except that they're in different divisions......Chavez 160, Kirkland/Angulo 154.

    Of course he is.

Fans these days seem to be weird. Unless you're top 5 ATG, you're basically considered ****!

it takes more than just power to put an opponent away. If angulo had took his time and picked his shots instead of just blazing in throwing wild shots i think he would have finished him within 3.

If kirkland fights anyone with half decent power and a boxing brain he will get destroyed. not hating on him and i give him credit for saturdays performance, he stuck to his game plan, stayed composed after the knockdown and deserves his applause but i just dont rate him as a top boxer in the division.

No, far from it skillwise. Not yet.
But the kid showed a big fighting heart on saturday, even if it was against someone treading water.
