Willie Limond will be Rickys next fight if Limond beats Crolla.

Easy defences aren't a British thing at all.

It's only Burns out of the current crop of British world champions that has made bad defences. Khan and Froch are both fighting good names.

I was talking more of the majority of Hatton's career, Calzaghe still doesn't get the respect he deserves due to his early weak defenses, David Haye until he got pasted around by Wlad. Even Khan in his earlier days got a lot of flak internationally for the fights he took, Salita for instance.

I think in some instances it really affects the fighter as they aren't used to being in with top world class operators. Anyone who believe's that 3 rounds against Audley Harrison was good prep for Wlad is a moron.

The same happened to Hatton to an extent, not that it would have made much difference, but who in there right mind takes on Floyd Mayweather in only there second fight at the weight, granted it took balls but in hindsight it was a bit daft.

It didn't take balls at all. They guaranteed him about £12 million for ****s sake. It was a win win situation.

Hardly win-win when you're lay sprawled out in the middle of the ring and your wife/girlfriend is in hysterics. So, I'd say getting in with a P4Per like Floyd definitely takes balls, even if he was more than compensated for his troubles.

No. Il repeat it took no balls at all for a world champion to fight another world champion. It was a win win situation. If he won the fight he's the p4p king and if not then you've still made an absolute massive fortune from one fight.

I'm not a boxer but pay me £12m and I will fight mayweather and pacquiao in the same ****ing night. There's no balls about that.

Mayweathers not just a World Champ he's one of, if not the best of his generation. Hatton was stepping up in weight and class, i'm not going to argue the toss over something that wasn't even my main point though.

Really hope he doesn't fight Mitchell next as I feel it would be a pretty routine win. Maybe someone like demarco would be a good first defense
