in 2007 Froch turn it down. in 2009 Bute turn it down. I dont know too much about Froch at the time, so dont know why he did it. in 2009, Bute gave Andrade his rematch. Eveyrone, including Bute wanted this rematch. Then during the summer of 2009 the S6 was announced, so Froch would have turn down Bute's offer anyway (rightly so) to get in the tourney. edit: whatever reason Froch had, either good or bad back in 2007, he proved since then that he is not afraid to fight anyone.
As old as Johnson is, as little time as 4 months can make a huge difference in ring ability. Using Johnson as a performance gauge is worthless. Like bananas, old boxers have to be used up quickly. :yep
"This boxer is a ugly as hell" Typical Bute fan! :-( As I said, Bute is much more of a modeling poser than a boxer. As long as he keeps his youth and stays wrinkle free he'll be the big ticket in Canada. On a second note, I've traveled to Montreal on many occasions, but I never noticed how many Gay Men are there.
Have you tested other search engines to see if they slow down? This forum is full of nuggets but it is diffu=icult to get them via normal search What about yahoo or metacrawler?
How does that equate to Bute turning it down? My understanding is about the same as yours, they were in discussions about fighting in 2009 but then froch's people must have been privately contacted regarding the S6 so Froch ended discussions with Bute. It does not mean Bute turned it down and Froch's choice is understandable.
Outside of Montreal, this is considered common knowledge. Somehow it doesn't translate into French very well.
Hard to call, I for sure pick Bute over Froch. Ward fight is hard, But I give Bute an edge. POWER. But all I know is Bute-S6 winner needs to happen!!
We shall see what Bute is made of once he starts getting hit, he does have that saiko bika win though that's pretty solid.
Yep. If / when he fights either Froch or Ward (or Kessler, for that matter) Lucien will definitely be taking it up the Bute.
I take Bute anytime over Froch but I thing Ward will win by UD, Ward is not even able to destroy a snowman with his punches.
Froch has gained some valuable experience fighting in the S6. He's improved his skill level, as well as his confidence. We haven't seen much of Froch's power in the S6, but I believe Bute is just the opponent to allow him to display it. I have Froch being much more mobile than Johnson, connecting with much stronger jabs and lowering that right hand as Johnson should have. Johnson had very good connect with his pawing/flicking jab. I see Froch having a jab fest on Bute and possibly getting a KO, or at least a couple knock downs.
