You think I just started saying Kirkland has a Glass Jaw? :roflatsch I was saying it years ago when he was getting put on his ass by the cab drivers he was fighting. I love the way some people here just can't handle the fact that a Boxer just might not have the best Chin in the World. That and when they "win" a fight it erases everything up to that point like it never happened. :roflatsch

 

No, you must have missed the memo he beat Angulo despite being wobbled by a Jab and on his ass in 30 seconds. That means Kirkland now has a Marvin Hagler like Chin and he is an ATG. :rofl:rofl

 

he doesnt have a glass jaw, he has a bad chin but not a glass jaw


hes never been put to sleep, and he is (all but once) able to recover from being stunned


a glass jaw implies the guy gets hit solid and is either straight up KO'd or hurt badly enough that he cannot possibly defend himself/fight back

hes got a way shaky chin mainly because hes almost always being countered (as hes almost always throwing full force punches in long combos) but when he actually tries to slow down and box not only can he roll with punches, but he can take a decent shot as long as he sees it coming

 

leaving himself open and having a glass jaw are two very different things. I think think james just forgets that he is allowed to move his head.

I would not say he has an ATG chin but saying he has a glass jaw is just not true. That is evidenced by what he did Saturday night. Just because some of you say that is does not make it so.

 

Because he RECOVERED from that shot and a TON of other power shots that landed on his face, managing to KD the other guy IN THE SAME ROUND. Glass jawed fighters don't just 'get hurt'. WTF. Most fighters get hurt by flush power punches. Most HUMANS get hurt when taking flush power punches. Glass jawed fighters get consistently KTFO, sometimes even senseless, by punches that aren't that big.

Actually, I respect MetalMandible. Apart from the fact that he shares your obsession with chins, he actually makes very articulate posts and backs what he says up with good arguments.
