I think Froch could just about nick it by outworking Andre but how do you think the judges would score it?

And to be honest mate anytime you want to debate fights I'm cool with that.

But let me know at the beggining if you want to debate the fight or if you want to pick apart every word I type.

 What did I pick apart exactly? You said ''every fight''(to that effect anyways) and then said you didn't mean that and started talking about intelligence and education for no reason. Even when I brought up the point about Froch benefitting to a far greater extent than Ward when he's ''in control'' you couldn't comprehend it, when everyone else could. It had relevance to what you were saying but you seem to think I brought it up for no reason.

This is exactly my point, you still want to talk about what I did or didn't say rather than the fight. Honestly mate I'm exasperated, I've had a hard day at work I want to talk boxing, thats it.

I really don't see Ward crumbling or being there for the taking from one punch. Theres decent enough evidence Ward can hold a shot when he has to. Can't exactly say its proven iron but its certainly not glass as it would seem if we'd only watched him against Darnell Boone. That was 6 years ago after all.

We also know Froch isn't a big KO artist at the top level, only KO has been against Jermain Taylor who has suffered multiple KO defeats. He hurt Pascal moderately, wasn't exactly on dire straits. Besides, even Chad Dawson stunned Pascal so I'm not overly wowed by that.

Doesn't really take a degree in logic to put all the pieces together, Carl Froch is going to have to put on a serious consistent performance to take out Andre Ward, its not going to be a one punch finish him job IMO and thats why I don't really have power in the forefront of my mind when thinking about this matchup. I'm more concerned with tactically who can control it.

I agree Froch cant take him out with one shot unless Froch lands the right uppercut really late in the fight when Ward is tired. But i doubt that highly, i think Froch is going to wear Andre down, even though Ward is a gifted athlete IMO Froch will wobble him late on and follow up and get Andre out of there. It could be similar to Bute-Andrade I with Froch behind on the cards and provides a late rally.

Massimo Barrovecchio and Daniel Van De Wiele seemed to think otherwise. Been a *****, holding constantly, and falling to the ground seemingly does cost you rounds.

    Horrific.

I suppose you think Williams beat Lara and Chavez drew with Whitaker because that's what the judges told you.

Well instead of supposing, try asking me properly for my opinion on who won a fight and i'll tell you for future reference, is that ok for you ?. Williams got a gift against Lara, what you really thought i was going to fall for that one and be so ignorant. I'm bias towards Froch because i thought he beat Dirrell and don't take what you say as gospel ? He won by a round, thats my opinion and judges didn't alter my opinion once the final bell went. You say the other man been a ***** doesn't win you rounds, well it clearly helps, as 2 scoring judges judges seem to think so. In fairness it was a horrible and extremely hard fight to score because there wasn't a lot of clean punhes, Dirrell's antics did put me off big time and its totally resonable for anyone to take it into consideration scoring rounds in a very tight fight.

No way did Froch win 6 rounds against Dirrell. Granted, Dirrell could have been more aggressive but he shouldn't have had to. He deserved to win that fight. I actually think Dirrell was the best boxer in the super 6. Pity he's not got the spirit but I still look forward to his return.

Have to agree with Will on one thing though, you really are a pedantic shite at times jpab. I enjoy your lower weight posts but the posts in this thread have made me ready for bed

    Cheers for the support mate.

On the Dirrell thing I would argue the 'spirit' as you put it is part of being a boxer. Also while Froch maybe didn't win 6 neither did Dirrell, there was easily a couple 10-10 rounds there and it was a really subjective fight to score.

Also with the point deduction Froch didn't really need six just 5 depending on the round.
