Kirkland vs Williams @154lbs?

    How does the Brit forum see this going? Kirkland's only loss to a taller fighter punching down on him, Williams' losses to southpaws in Quintana, Martinez and Lara (yes, I'm including that :deal) so I thought it'd be an interesting match up to think about

    Is the hard hitting Kirkland able to ice the rather open PW, or is Williams too seasoned and a level above him still?

    Has to be said straight away Kirkland is a completely different southpaw to Quintana, Lara and Martinez. Those 3 all have certain qualities they share.

    Kirkland can't deal with tall, long armed skinny guys :deal

    Oh don't get me wrong they're massively different but like Kirkland can't deal with tall, long armed, skinny guys, PW can't handle southpaws period :deal

    And plus because Kirkland is black he's automatically slick anyway

    Williams more than held his own against Martinez first time around, and blew Quintana out of the water on the rematch.

    I think Williams has the chin to hang in there when it gets tough, and has the workrate to rack up rounds. He also has the power to get Kirkland out of their.

    Williams' chin is eroded now, but he's smart enough to bang Kirkland up, I think. It would be a tremendous fight.

    I'd pay some serious money to watch it. Two fighters who are vulnerable to each others style with the power to score a stoppage over each other. Make it happen! Time to get tweeting Golden Boy I think :deal

    Unfortunately not. I think he even said in his last interview he'll keep him away from southpaws :verysad

    Don't blame him but it's still disappointing

    I hate robberies at the best of times but I had £12 on a Lara decision at 9/1 :verysad

    Roy Jones giving Williams advice to retire was also somewhat surreal too...

    I don't think PW has much left to give at the top level tbh, Kirkland might beat the last of that out of him

    At least we can be grateful no on will hire P-Dub as a commentator. He was borderline unintelligible when he was younger, now he's speaks like he's verbally illiterate. Knowhumsayn?

    What is left of Williams chin? He was "iron chinned" against welterweights. Does he have the chin of Angulo? I dont think so.
