In a world that the P4P no.1 and 2 have things to prove... Bute too have things to prove!

Good gracious people are overrating this win.

Johnson didn't even look great against Froch who acknowledged that he was past it when they fought plus he didn't have the luxury sparring close to 100 rounds with him prior to their fight:

Froch always has an excuse ready for his performances. I don't believe him when he says he was only in 2nd gear. And I think it's ridiculous to suggest that it was against him that Johnson put in one last big effort, and became damaged goods after it. These excuses, mainly from the Froch fans who don't like Bute, were being pushed before Johnson even stepped into the ring on Saturday. It was clear from the very beginning - when this fight was announced - they weren't going to give Bute any credit regardless of how he won. To them, Johnson was a legit threat when Froch faced him, but an over-the-hill nobody when Bute chose him. Makes me laugh. It really does.

AJ5, I respect what you're saying but I hope you're not someone who is hyping Froch in this case.

No, I'm not hyping Froch. In fact I think Bute is a better fighter than Froch.

Come on go watch the fight Froch was just going through the motions as he landed his best shots and glen just took them even said it himself and yea I do believe him.I say froch and ward both tko Bute late on bute is the more skilled but lacks toughness and has a suspect chin and doesn't hit as hard he's like a poor mans calzaghe.

Bute gave Johnson all the opportunity to hit him that he could have and guess what, for the first time in 70 or so fight, Johnson cover himself and threw jabs.

And no, you dont get old in 4 months and I think he looked more healthier at the Bute weight in than in any other at 168 and he even said that he will stay at 168! so no, he wasnt weight drained.

Also many blame the fact that Bute's always fighting in his backyard. He's fighting in his backyard because he is the champion AND because he can draw HUGE crowds every time. Even if you're not a promoter, you should know that it's common sense to fight where there is more money to be made.

I mean, who is the moron who would make a Bute-Mendy fight in Kansas City?

Bute will fight in the U.S. when he's gonna fight an equally or bigger name than him (a.k.a Ward) but probably in a neutral site like NYC. Same thing with Froch or Kessler. I know Kessler was offered to fight Bute in Montreal but refused, and I can understand why. But his team never proposed a counter-offer. Bute's promoter was waiting their offer to start some negotiations. Therefore it's not Bute's fault.

Reality is, no one has ever beat Johnson like that except Hopkins 15 years ago. Not even Froch, Tarver, Cloud, Dawson.

They also didn't fight him when he was almost 43 after moving down in weight (except Froch).

Really ? because as far as i can see throughout boxing history many many old fighters grow old in the ring in one or two fights froch took anything that johnson had left away.

Bute loses to both Ward and froch tbh
