Froch won 9 rounds vs. Johnson, Bute won 9 rounds vs. Johnson (I had 2 even).

Froch fought a Johnson who was obviously better trained OR simply created the style mis-match, whereas everybody knew Bute vs. Johnson was a style mis-match in favor of Bute. No one expected anything other than a Bute UD, which is what happened.

Beat a top 10 SMW other than Andrade, please. (and yes I realize Johnson was ranked #8 or whatever by The Ring, but a W vs. Allan Green is the only win he has in the division over the past ten years, so he clearly did not deserve the ranking especially after the beat down to Froch)

I have Bute P4P #20 in the world, but to think others have him higher is ridiculous.

I beg to differ. Froch can't on one hand claim that he prepared for Johnson 110% because he knew he was a tough warrior, he gave him his best shots and he still kept coming back, etc.....and then on the other say he didn't really take Johnson that seriously, he didn't put in his best performance, bla bla bla. Seriously, he should just cut that nonsense out. Every fight, win or lose, he has excuses and contradictory statements ready. So much so, that a lot of his **** isn't to be taken seriously, any more.

And I think Froch would lose to Bute, simply because Bute's a better fighter. He [Bute] was toying with the very same man that gave Froch a very tough night. Johnson walking through Froch's shots to push him back without a worry in the world, but being too scared to commit against Bute, is telling of Bute's power and skill. So I have to disagree with you on that one (power), too.

But I'm with you on Ward. I don't see him stopping Bute, but I think he beats him.

Berrio - Bika - Andrade & Johnson were top 10 caliber at the time he fought them.

Johnson most likely looked worst against Bute than Froch because of many reasons :

1- Bute moves much better on his feet and has good head movement, something Froch doesn't have.
2- Bute masters distance better with a smaller reach than Froch.
3- Bute has faster hands than Froch and Johnson already knew that Bute was a very good counter puncher, having sparred close to a 100 rounds with him.
4- Johnson was afraid to use his right by fear of getting tagged by the left uppercut.

Johnson's comment in the locker rooms, when the dust settled was that Bute would beat Froch if they meet.

Johnson may have exaggerated but he actually said Froch isn't a really good boxer......

Name me a specific round Johnson won against Froch past the 3rd round please.

I gave Johnson the first 3, Froch the remaining 9. It was not a very tough fight, coming from a guy who really likes Glen and doesn't care too much for the arrogant Froch.

If you think that Froch had it easy in round 8, there is a problem.

OK, totally forgot about Bika somehow and Berrio.

HOWEVER, let us be honest, they were in the ass end of the top 10, as was Andrade and Johnson, if you do somehow believe he was a top 10 SMW despite being 1-1 in the previous ten years with the win against Allan Green, who oddly enough would be one of Bute's best victories had they fought 1-3 years ago.

As for what Bute brings to the table that Froch doesn't; head movement, feet movement, and better power.

Because they've been replaying it over and over and over again over the past week on boxing websites...

C'mon dude, it is not a round of the year, and Froch still took the round.

    ---
Besides, has no one brought up Johnson's "injured arm/hand"? Johnson I'd suspect less of faking or inventing injuries than 99% out there.

    people have argued 7,8 & 11. imo clearly 7.

tbh i'm a froch fan & imo he struggled a bit with johnson...glen just walked him down, took his punches with ease & he landed that right hand to froch's unguarded chin all ****ing night. froch clearly won but he didn't look great.

bute simply outclassed him. johnson was actually scared to commit to his punches which i have never seen before. the scorecards may have been the same but the reality was very different.
