1st off always been one of my favorite fighters, a true warrior. Anyways what's tha deal with his fallout with his former trainer/ uncle Evangelista? Did they get n a street fight I also heard a brick went into Cottos windshield. Also is he tha star Tito was is PR? Who is more popular he or Juanma? One more question if u had to pick one prospect, who is tha next biggest thing in PR and what kind of fighter is h3? Gracias

Cotto beat the **** out of his uncle. He is a bigger star than Juanma, but not close to how Tito was. Cotto is terribly underrated here though, several people would say Juanma is better than Cotto, specially when Juanma was undefeated. I don't know a big up coming prospect right now.

Cotto is not a true warrior. A real fighter with real heart prepares in and outside the ring. Cotto is nothing but a frontrunner who folds under the bright lights. Margarito is about to beat him up again. Well get to see Cotto's trademark backpeddling and sitting on the ropes when the pressure is too much for him. I say around round 5 like usual. Stop praising a guy who thinks it's cool to do coke and party during training for a fight and balloons up to almost 200 pounds in between fights please. End thread.

Plus the guy submitted in boxing. This isn't mma. Dude went down on a knee. If you think that's stuff warriors are made of then you must think Harry Potter would destroy Arnold Swarsenneggar. Stop using the word "heart" with Cotto. Getting your ass beat in a ring does not equate to heart. True heart is displayed in preparation where Cotto gets a C- if not a D+ in.

Puertoricans like him because he's from here, but he's not close to Tito's fame or adoration from the public, he likes to party way too much and can be arrogant, when he lost to Marg. most of the people were saying stuff like they knew he was going to lose, that his party life caught up to him.
The rumors about the fight with his uncle was that he wasn't listening to him about training and one day it boiled over, Cotto beat him up, his uncle followed him and threw a brick through the windshield, some say Cotto was drunk, others that the uncle was drunk, and others that both were drunk, I don't think we'll learn the whole story
The next superstar from PR... eh, slim pickings right now

    :patsch

let me start off by saying that i'm black, not mexican nor boriqua:nono

you say cotto has no heart, but hes getting back in the ring againest the guy who plastered the **** out off him for his belt at 154, a guy most fighters these days would avoid like the plague after what he did to cotto the first go round.

it doesn't matter whether cotto's fighting for grudge match money or revenge, but on thing you can't question is heart.:bart

    go **** yourself dude!!!:-(

At the time Cotto wanted to train in Florida because he felt there were too many distractions in PR. Evangelista said no, we're staying here in PR as if he was boss because he was trainer.

Cotto said well I will be in FL and you can join us if you want otherwise I'm moving on without you.

**** hit the fan when Cotto basically insinuated that HE not evangelista, was the leader of the show and that HE made the decisions. Evangelista didn't like that at all and thats how the fall out happened. Real nice and nasty, with Cotto breaking his nose.

the next big thing is always hard to say we have a few good prospects right now but who knows which one will make it but the closest right now to a championship fight are

jonathan la bomba gonzalez jr mw 14-0 with 13 kos, thomas dulorme welterweight although he was born in france to dominican parents he moved to PR at 14 represented PR in the amateurs and saids he feels boricua, and luis artesano cruz if he wins a championship soon can be a big star but is getting late for him
