I respect if Floyd is really paying, but why announce that publicly, especially so soon? Surely I'm not the only one who sees the problem in that...?

I have tons of respect for Joe, but you are over here starting bull****. Why are we doing this. Why can't we just mourn him without starting this petty crap that goes on this forum everyday.
You can't push this **** aside for a second

They can, this is just Mayweather's way of trying to buy good publicity.

I thought that he shouldn't have made it public, but I don't think people should be saying, "**** Floyd" and all that just because he did.

(Not saying you did though. I'm with you)

but, what if he does in fact, pay for it? it could be a stunt, but wouldn't he be relieving the frazier family of a considerable financial burden, granting them the ability to focus fully on the passing of a loved one? that's commendable, and no one but floyd can tell where his heart is in the decision. I feel like intelligent people would take it for what it is on the surface, a good deed...if he does in fact pay for it.

    Exactly MrTony.

If this had been a few days after his death, and/or Frazier's family announced that Mayweather paid for the funeral services then Floyd deserves to be praised as a Mother Theresa.

Maybe I'm just too cynical, but my first thought was why didn't he just pay for the funeral? Why did he need to tweet about it too? I'm not really directing this at just Mayweather... I just don't understand why a heart felt gesture comes with the expectation of getting some kind of credit for it. In any case, selfish or not, I'm sure Joe Frazier's family will be appreciative.

When Pacquiao helped Dave Rodela with a downpayment on his house, we didn't hear a peep about it from Pacquiao... a thankful Dave Rodela made this public.
