I know the OP is trying to wind people up but I got to say Rugby League is NOT big in Wales at all if you asked Welsh kids to name you a Rugby League player I'd be very suprised if they could ! And even though Rugby Union is Wales "National Sport" trust me it's not , Soccer is by far the most popular sport here in Wales ! And I'm a massive Rugby fan roll on December lol

that is the very same ignorant attitude manifested by the "rugby crowd" here in Australia and the main reason rugby will never be popular. There is a minute segment of the population that see themselves as above the every day man, but thankfully by and large, regardless of wealth, in this country most are seen as equal....

quite right...they are not treated equally to everyone else, but after what their forefathers went through when the settlers arrived i have no problem with them getting preferential treatment. Many come from impoverished backgrounds and need a leg up. Some of them make the most of it, some dont...such is life

Hey josey, what's your take on bale coming out and saying he'd love to play for GB in te games.
A lot of the welsh in the lounge were furious with him for it, but I don't really see the problem. It's not like he's choosing GB over wales.

In reality Australians and New Zealanders are two of only a few nationalities with the body toughness to handle sports like AFL and Rugby League.

I think its wrong for anybody to hassle a nations sports people, does it matter that most fully grown males in the UK and Wales have bodies of pre pubic lads. Lager soon beefs them up but hardly in the manner of champions but this should not be laughed at, its the way the Poms and Taffys are, while not skilled at outdoor sports they do very well at indoor games like darts and snooker and scrabble.

    God save the Queen
