Roy Jones - My New Favourite Commentator

    What are people's thoughts? I hear alot of stick but i personay really like him.

    Specifically some of his technical knowledge is really good. Some of the specifics such as Angulo been Punched out and won't recover for the whole fight. And at the end of the 1st how Kirkland despite being tired had alot of energy to punch back as he has adrenaline from surviving the beating to rally on.

    He is by far my favourite commentator at the minute.

    I think he will have a great career in broadcasting and would be an amazing trainer if he went down that field.

    What are everyone's thoughts on him?

    He is the man, and it puts a smile on my face whenever the broadcast comes on and he is a part of it. The man has class, character, and knowledge.

    personally I like Tarver better as an announcer tho...

    you can undestand him...

    and when he said 'Carl Croch', well that's just classic...

    yeh i liked the "What a beard Son" Comment too.

    He needs to learn how to pull a Ledderman or Kellar one Liner that gets you pumped for a fight then he'll have it all.

    Guy gets hit with a thunderous punch (see Montiel or Angulo)

    "Oohhh It's over.. It's over. It's DONE! It.is.DONE! " screaming over the other announcers.

    I like him a lot as a commentator. Much better than Foreman, Lennox, or Tarver. He's got a future in the field if he wants it I think. He's smart and witty and brings intelligent insight into the fights for the fans.

    Yeah, he's very good. So is Tarver. I'd pay to hear them co-commentate a fight.
