    in my opinion

SRR is P4P 1... and Harry Greb is a close second...

but however, if there was more footage on Greb, i believe he would rank ahead of SRR..

there just isn't enough video on him. compared to SRR...

    agree or disagree

no, he does not... but if greb had more tape, then we could have a discussion on SRR vs. Greb... but since there are not alot of video on him, then we can't really see his skills

but we know the skills of the fighters Greb beat

You fail to mention there is no footage of real prime SRR.

So to say "he'd be #1 if there was footage", is simply not right.

Because as you know by now, there is no footage of SRR in his prime years, nor is there any of Greb like you said.

I would not disregard either option, but saying "he'd be better than SRR" is just not right.

So how would it be a fair assumption to say he'd rate over SRR had there been more tapes of him available?

because i believe.. greb has a better resume, beat better competition then SRR

Greb is criminally underrated, I agree. He's a top5 lock for me, and thats with having seen no relevant footage of him fighting the likes of Tunney.

I'd give almost anything to have prime SRR tapes, aswell as Harry Greb tapes available.

I think it all depends on how true his style was to the stories.

I'm hesitant to ever rank Greb as wrong as that is, simply because there is nothing more to go on than stats. Plus that was probably the most corrupt era in boxing. Its been rumored Greb fixed fights and a few of his opponents were known fight fixers too.

There is footage of Robinson at welterweight early in his career.
