Dan Rafael just tweeted it after hearing it from Lou Dibella. He said they are moving forward with Ortiz rematch.

This is excellent. Berto didn't allow the paper belt to hold him hostage. Randall Bailey is a bomber and it would've been worth a watch, but it's great to see two guys, Ortiz and Berto, willing to make the rematch happen with no belt being on the line.

Good news, I was hoping for a rematch between the two.

On one hand, I'm glad to hear he's willing to do that to get another shot at Ortiz, even if it's only because it's likely a bigger money fight than Bailey, but on the other hand, what a shame that he has to give up the belt he was in such a tough fight to get, only months ago.

I like the Berto-Ortiz rematch better anyway. Good move by Berto.

So does that mean IBF rank 1 and 2 fight for it? which is Randell Bailey and Mike Jones.

This. He fought hard for the belt, wasn't an easy win for him. But glad he's looking at avenging his loss, as us fans should get another great fight! :thumbsup

I wont mind bailey vs mike jones for the title, the winner can fight the berto vs ortiz 2 winner.

The two highest rated available contenders will fight for the vacated title.

Bailey was mandatory to Zaveck, but took step aside money to allow Berto to fight him. So, really, time is up, it's Bailey's turn.
