This is an unwritten law that applies equally to race horses, rock bands, actors etc.

Considered Jackson Ippy, and left him out.

I've read Jackson achieved plenty, and his 97 fights for 46 wins (30 KOs), 3 losses (all by KO) and 3 draws - the remainder being NCs - is certainly impressive, on face value.

Not sure if it's just a BoxRec glitch (if it is disregard what follows) but many of Jackson's opponents had very little or no 'form'. I know in those days NCs (no decisions) were commonplace, but BoxRec shows that about 50 of Jackson's opponents hadn't registered a single win when they met him, and many others only had only one or two wins.

Again relying blindly on BoxRec, in almost 100 fights Jackson only fought a small handful of experienced fighters - the exceptions being Slavin, Corbett, Dooley, Goddard, Burke.

That was my only means of comparing Jackson's record for Top 10 purposes and IMO others compared more favourably.

Les Darcy is number 1 for me. With just a short career he still achieved so much, If he had lived he would have been considered one of the worlds best.

Hattons chin had gone long before that night, look at the punches he walked straight thru from kodtya all night and compare, bad living caught up with him.still he lost to 2 fighters that rate far far higher than any of our boys do p4p,no shame in losing to the best of the best

And Hatton will always be remebered for being a fat fu*k between fights and getting KO'd cold (and i mean COLD) twice infront of large audiences worldwide.

Ohhh and for cheating on his wife and kid with another slag and doing lines with her in a dingy toilet, real class bloke your mate is ay?

Kostya will be remembered as one of the greatest Light Welters of all time, unified the divison and fought the absolute best :hi:

I think Hector Thompson is worth a honorable mention. Underrated fighter who was unfortunate to come around at the time of Duran and Cervantes.

I think Jeff Fenech achieved enough to put him in the number one position. It gets harder to split them after that. The hardest ones to rate are Les Darcy and Dave Sands because their careers were cut short and there are so few vids of their fights.
