It's still good... but I much preferred it with Andy Kerr. The current version just makes me miss the old one!
I can never get my head around the englanders Andy Kerr obsession, dont get me wrong he seemed a nice guy and all that, but apart from that... You tell me folks:huh
The funny thing is that I can't quite understand it myself (although have to say I had not noticed, previously, that it was particularly the English who liked him!). For my part, I just found the banter between the two of them entertaining, I like shows, whether fact or fiction, where it is amusing to watch the relationship between two people play out. This, for me, was a good example of that. Not saying that noone else could fill Kerr's role, but why change what isn't broken? I think that Bunce is more enjoyable with a co-host, a straight man if you like, and Kerr played that part to perfection, for me.
Good to know! And I keep forgetting you read this stuff, glad I said that you are good lol!!! A 'straight man' plan is good news. An 'Andy Kerr straight man' plan would be great news...
Because he's a boring racist with serious hang-ups over Scottish-English rivalry that only moronic Scots seem to feel.
What gets me is how it seems Kerr sort of fell in to the boxing role by presenting on the Setanta News time slot they chose to put the original Bunce hour in to, and they just clicked. You get the feeling that especially early on, he didn't know loads about the sport, but it didn't really show-unlike Keys for example, who its clear he hasn't the foggiest what he's on about. But obviously his knowledge has improved over time and he is a top presenter. I'd have him presenting the live UK cards over Keys, and I'd imagine most on here would feel the same. The new Bunce hour is still good, but I think it's just missing something that the original programme had, and I dunno what it is. Maybe Kerr? As for Ringside, it is ok, but has got a bit dull and stale this season. They are clearly struggling to fill an hour every week now, padding it out with highlights of Shobox fights. Perhaps trimming it to half an hour would help?
Lets have it right lads, If ringside change their presenters then they have a great boxing weekly show....Until then well, they just dont....Everything appart from the presenters is bang on....Take heed sky, or just dont bother, we know you dont give two ****s about boxing.
If Kerr was available every monday he would be on the show but he isnt so he isnt....When he is available if and when that happens im sure he will be on every week, until then, Bunceys on his todd....... Any word on the Ronbo slot Steve???
