It is comparable to the first man climbing Mt Everest. First man to succeed after countless others have tried and failed. Most people would be lucky to win just one. But 3 and in DESCENDING order. That goes against the physiological development of fighters.

Remarkable indeed. You get to call yourself The Pioneer for a good reason. Rewrite the record books.

it would be respectable if the calibre of opponents were up to standard and when referring to mundine has he actually won more than one recognised world title?

This is like any other rediculous guiness record like flicking skittles with one's ear etc.

How many people have really tried to achieve 3 titles in descending order? The less that people have tried, the less significant it becomes. Im sure if more people practiced flicking skittles with their ears, it wouldnt take long for the record to be broken... kinda the same thing here...

im pretty sure one of those was only an interim? the other was vacated so he didnt actually fight the beltholder? similar to greenys interim super middle weight belt and his ibo belt at cruiser, the only genuine one he has held is the wba l/h. I will fully support anthony in his endeavours but for me the whole "pioneer" stunt is just that, a publicity stunt, it holds very little merit to most boxing pundits i would believe.

To win legit world titles in 3 weights up or down against top level / legit champions is a great achievement. Mundine though has yet to win one world title imo.

    Poll update.....

50 % of poll voters believe it to be very great whilst the other 50 judge it to be pioneering great.
