Question to British forum posters

    Alright, lads?

    Like many boxing fans, I was saddened to hear about the death of Joe Frazier and as a big fan of his, I'd love it if there was a physical reminder of what he did for the sport especially in the city of Philadelphia. There have been calls for Frazier to get a statue and with his recent passing, it made me wonder whether the British forum could help with that.

    The thing which made me think that this could be possible was the 'Jeff for Prizefighter' campaign and even though they are two completely different things and this is on a much bigger scale (Sorry Jeff :D), I do think that there would be lots of support from the boxing and non-boxing community. Knowing how dogged and determined you all were, I genuinely think that we could create enough public interest to get the ball rolling.

    Which leads me to the question...would any other British forum fans be interested in campaigning for a statue? I've only really thought about this in passing and I'm sure there are many more creative ideas, but maybe if we created an online petition, messaged as many celebrities as possible on Twitter, asked for a shout out on a radio show, tried to get a message from Buncey and many more things, it could actually be possible.

    Im in, the more I think about the fact that they have a statue of a fictional boxer and not Joe Frazier? the madder I get, I think its a great cause.

    Thats the biggest **** take, not having a Frazier statue is bad enough but not having one and having a Rocky statue is ludicrous.

    I'm pretty sure he already has one being planned for him, guys, I saw Steve Cunningham mention something about it the other day.
