Ray Leonard would have destroyed PacMan and Mayweather?

If boxing evolved at the rate your talking about then guys like Ray Robinson & Willie Pep (from the 50s) wouldn`t look better fighters than the `creme de la creme` of today in mayweather or pacquiao.... but they do look better fighters because they WERE better fighters... their records tell you they are better & unless your biased, you can see that they are better..... boxing ain`t athletics you know so enough with this evolve ****.

Ps. its very clear on film that guys like Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Sanchez etc. were not inferior fighters to the best of the 90s, 2000s etc..... use your eyes please.

All journeyman he's beating up in your videos, and is people really gonna act like Sr wasn't giving him headaches, what truly makes people think Floyd can't do the same when he is 10x the fighter.

When was Sr giving him headaches? Lasting 8 or so rounds and getting blasted isnt the definition of giving headaches. Jr. might be 10x the fighter his dad was but he's also smaller and cant take the same kind of punishment. There is no way in hell Jr. could beat Ray Leonard , that matchup is all wrong for him in every way. Same for Pacquiao.

And saying 80's fighters were getting dominated in the 90's is an ignorant statement. For one thing, it's not entirely true, and a lot of them were past it by then. I actually agree with you that boxing has evolved, but from the 80's onward?? That doesn't make any sense. The best boxers today are using techniques taught a long time ago.

He beats both, yet to say it like it would be so easy is not accurate. These two guys would take a lot of strategy and training and concentration to beat.

Have you seen the Floyd Sr. fight? Are you aware of how Leonard fought at all? He was a slow starter by design because he liked to take the first couple of rounds to feel his opponent out, gage their strengths and weaknesses, and would open up shortly afterwards when he felt he'd solved them. Once he stepped it into gear his fights usually only went one way: his way. That's exactly what he did against Floyd Sr. Felt him out for the first two rounds, and once he'd found his range he proceeded to beat the ever-loving dog **** out of him for the remainder of the fight before TKO'ing him. It was as brutally dominant a performance as you're likely to see.

As to your earlier point, which fighters did Leonard avoid in favour of lesser challenges?

I could argue that by pointing to the norris fight, is people gonna act like Leonard wasn't in his early 30's getting beat by afterthoughts of the 90's:lol:

And to your point its a totally different sport than in the 50's where 2 fighters would stand in the middle of the ring and try to slug it out like cave man, there is far more technique and strategy involved, fighters are actuallt trying box to a 12 round ud rather than trying to get rid of fighters early, cause they are not sure they can endure a full 15 rounds. Not to mention better cutman, trsing techniques, use of subtle moves like feints, the whole sport in all has evolved

And to answer your question he ducked Pryor, and also took years to rematch Hearns in a fight I felt he was given a gift draw, rematching a well past it Duran at MW...................I love Leonard too but, I won't ignore the smoke and mirrors he used to cover his bs

But but but he was only 33 when getting beat by Norris, and Mayweather and Pac are dominating around the same age group, so don't come in hear with that shot ****..................

So are you gonna punish the ATG fighters in Mayweather and Pac cause they haven't fought, put them fighters in any era and they would hold they own, saying Leonard would dominate them, or Ko them is foolish

No possible way Ray Leonard could beat jr. Look what sr. did to him for 5 rounds! The only reason Sr. didn't win is because he's party animal cokehead and he whooped Rays ass for 5 rounds. Jr. would have handled that business. No Doubt! Real Talk! Watch the fight!

I seriously don't think you guys have watched the Leonard/Floyd Sr. fight. It sounds like you've watched the first 2 rounds (and somehow extrapolated that to 5:huh) and cut it off, having based your assumptions off of that, when Leonard was just getting warmed up.

Good lord those SRL videos look like they are in fast forward! Sugar Ray Leonard was just as fast - no FASTER than Floyd Mayweather Jr, but people don't realize how much of a killer he was in the ring. SRL hit HARD. He absolutely smashed some of his opponents - unlike Floyd. I say it wouldn't have even been close. He would have dominated and stopped Floyd.

On a side note... didn't Floyd Mayweather remind you of Kid Quick from the PUNCH OUT!! games?
