I want Andy Kerr back on the Bunce Hour

Agree that it seemed random how they came together, but they did seem to click and genuinely to enjoy the banter. It was like their eyes met across a crowded studio, and it just clicked..! Television gold.

I'd definitely second bringing Kerr in instead of Keys. I think Keys has been fine, have liked him more than I thought I would, but he isn't a reason to tune in at all.

 

I second that, series linking in Sky Plus would be great. At the moment it is just BoxNation and non-CBeebies kids' TV where it doesn't work.

 

Agree wholeheartedly. Just not the same without Big Andy Kerr. He was the ideal straight man for Buncey. Format falls a little flat without him, me thinks

 

I can understand everyone wanting the Kerrminator in with Steve, but we all have to wait for things in life.....

I have no idea what the future holds. I think big Steve is pretty content in there by himself at the minute. It's a different show to our old boxing hour, I quite enjoy watching from my sofa!
A few of you said I was in the right place at the right time. That's totally true and it's amazing the way that happens sometimes. We were thrown together by chance doing the live fights, Pacman - Marquez ii was one our first coincidently and it seemed to click on air. But to get the Bunce Hour on air I had to badger my old boss at Setanta for about 3 weeks to give the show a pilot which only 3 people actually worked on but it obviously went well. So I,d like to think although I was very lucky to fall into a fantastic job that I loved, I did play a bit of a role making it happen too!

aah, nice answer there the Saint! I think what your getting at is that Kerr & Big daddy Bunce could be the boxnation answer to Morecambe & Wise, we just need to find a pair of specs for Buncey & we are away!

Kerr seems to be a bit of a cult hero here, & the fact the guy is nice enough to post also means that I hope he gets his old role back:good Make it so Buncey.

And watching you go off on a rant while Andy tried to get the show back on track, then you finishing with 'carry on, Andy' used to be one of life's simple pleasures. He has to come back, just for that!

 

I would like to see wee Andy back with Buncey on the Boxing Hour and along with the permanent return of that legendary intermission clip that they used on the old Setanta show - that was class:deal

Still, the show has improved every week imo and is an entertaining listen, I would like two Bunce Boxing Hours per week - there is absolutely no reason why that shouldnt happen - it is a boxing channel after all!

You could do one on a Monday and another on Friday on location - like the weigh in - do the show right there. Live one hour weigh in/Boxing Hour special - interviewing all the fighters, promoters, managers, fans predictions etc, throw in a few pre-recorded bits and bobs and get the atmosphere from the weigh in beaming through as part of the show. Those weeks that you dont do the Bunce Boxing Hour on a Friday, why not do 'A day in the life of.....' type documentaries and other filming:happy:happy
