Aside from Ali , who beats Lennox?

Louis would KO Lewis too imo. Louis is patient enough and I think will be able to counter Lewis eventually with an overhand right similar to the Carnara fight.

obviously, more than anything else McCall beat Lewis with a KO punch. The punch came about because Lewis got caught trying to load up.

Lewis was loading up because McCall did control the pace in round one.

Lennox was hanging onto McCall in the last 60 seconds of round one because he was under fire and uncomfortable. Oliver was driven, he drove lewis out of his comfort zone and lennox made a mistake.

lewis has become seriously overated great heavyweight yes but beating prime ali holmes foreman tyson never wide points losses to the first 2 early kos by the others .

 

I don't see any particular reason that Lewis couldn't beat Foreman. He doesn't have quite the same power but he certainly has better boxing skills and I don't think he'd have a problem landing his overhand right, but of course if he gets caught, Foreman's the type of fighter who can finish off an opponent. I personally think Liston would give him a harder time than Foreman.

I would favor, at least slightly, Louis, Holmes, and Ali. Foreman and Frazier are live underdogs to me. Don't really like Tyson's chances other than a puncher's chance.

 

And Oliver McCall too. Lewis shouldn't have lost that fight, but him being careless led to getting KO'd.

I believe Lennox was at or near his best around the same time and slightly before the first Holyfield fight. There's a reason why Bowe wouldn't step in the ring with him. It would be a 12 round beat down as opposed to an olympic 3 round beat down. Lennox became a better ring tactician, using his size and moving his feet as he got older. Any fight that he prepares for and doesn't let his ego get the better of him, very few to none would beat him. He had perhaps the best footwork of the biggest heavyweights and that's what sets him apart.

 

The Ali from the 60's before his exile would beat Lewis by UD but not without some scary moments. The Ali that fought Foreman in 1974 RITJ, would take a 12 round beating if he sat on the ropes and leaned back. Maybe he catches a tired Lewis in the late rounds if it's a 15 rounder like he did against Lyle, but not likely. Holyfield sat on the ropes the first time and Lennox beat him up badly. Foreman threw those long heavy "winging" stamina draining shots like he did against Frazier and Ali. Only the ropes were a lot tighter in Jamaica and Frazier out of sync, ducked into Foreman's big punches. Lennox would measure Ali repeatedly with his longer jab and wouldn't waste big right hand shots if he pins him on the ropes.
