Who where our best fighters not to win a title ?

    Alphabet titles are won by mediocre fighters these days but who where our best never to win a title who surely would today ?

    Maybe not but I've always had a soft spot for Cliffy Sarmardin so I'll put his name up there.

    Forgot all about briggsy. Definitely should of could of. If it weren't for "power boxing" he may very well of succeeded.

    I've only seen his fight with Lovemore but was very impressed, if he had continued i dont think bagging a title somewhere down the line would have been out of the question.

    I think I put that one up on YouTube, wasn't his greatest effort to be honest, saw him live a few times and to this day havn't seen anyone in the flesh thats comparable.

    In all fairness to Manc this is the type of thread needed on the board , due to my limited knowledge of Australian boxing I have got to agree with Ferreri , Briggs ( defo ) Mr Mundine Snr and Waters , also maybe The Flash would have come close ish also . What do you reckon boys on my Flash comment ?
