This is honestly a match-up I never even saw coming.

    Huh. :think

Adamek already had his big climactic payday at heavyweight (where he never even belonged in the first place) - so what's his motivation to come into this 100%?

I really don't know why you guys seem so shocked that Fury is headlining at Madison Square Gardens on St. Patrick's Day. My first and only post up to this point on this website was about 2 months ago, and it was to tell you all this very fact, and you all chose to ignore me or laugh. If there is anyway of retrieving older posts from a previous thread can somebody let me know please? Believe me, I wouldn't post stuff unless I was in the know guys. And by the way, don't be surprised if he actually faces Perez, not Ademek.....

Where is the New York draw in a Fury-Perez fight though. You wont do 5,000 bums on seats with that one!

i thought fury couldnt fight for the irish title as he couldnt prove his irish routes.

and isnt Macklin vs Martinez st.paddys day at MSG??

When Fat Mick says headline, maybe he means main event on the undercard of Macklin-Martinez.

    Probably fighting some ol' American.

The birth certs for his fathers side of the family burnt in a fire in Galway so unless you had a copy of your birth cert to present and get "re-registered" then basically you never existed  , so that was that dead in the water.

However, the birth certs were found for his mothers side of the family in Belfast.

If they had been found when he was in the Irish senior ABA finals then Fury would most likely have been on the Irish team in the Beijing Olympics when Barnes, Egan and Sutherland medalled. Pity.

Nope, not according to the messege Lou DiBella sent me after I posted the video of the Pajkic-Fury presser.

We could have a Battle Royal on our hands for the date.

Those two alone possibly won't, but when the card is hopefully also going to consist of the headline bout of Maklin ( vs Martinez), Paul McCloskey, Brian Magee, and Martin Lindsay, you won't be able to move as it will be utterly rammed with Irish immigrants for possibly one of the biggest cards of 2012 !

Adamek was a world class CW but at HW he is too small and lacks power, very winnable fight for Fury IMO.

Not enough money to get all those. Each one of those (except Lindsay) would have a better chance of filling the WaMu on their own in my opinion.

Post doesn't make much sense to be honest. One headlining Irish name and maybe one other would draw the Irish crowd. The Americans have no idea who any of those guys you mentioned are. So it's not like putting them on the undercard would sway their opinion and make them buy a ticket. Duddy would draw more than all them combined.

Guys like Malignaggi (Italian) and Jacobs (African-American) have a following in NYC and they would bring fans that otherwise wouldn't go.

I believe Adamek Vs Fury with a decent undercard would draw a decent crowd.

Would probably need another Irish name on the undercard and a decent american prospect also.
