    In today's issue of the very reputable Boxing News.


    People will think this is bull**** but Boxing News wouldn't print this unless there was some credibility behind it.:-(

    Wonder if this is linked to the rumours of struggling to find a state where Marg could get medical clearance to fight because of the fracture he suffered to his orbital bone against Pac?

    Websites get up-to-date news and rumours way before print publications have them released. The Scene, ESPN, Maxboxing, etc, none of them have reported this. If it was true, surely someone like Fat Dan would have sniffed it and tweeted about it? It's one of the biggest fights of the year, so if anything was to jeopardize it, we would have heard about it by now.

    Sounds like nothing more than a bit of misinformed information/rumour.

    Hope this is not true. They could move it to Texas, Margarito is allowed to fight there. It would be a ***** though with tickets already sold.

    The NYSAC requires a "hold Date" at least 60 days prior to the event date.Approval of such event is given on a first come-first served basis.
    I am certain that Top Rank not only gave at least 60 days notice but also would have had the approval of the NYSAC to conduct the initial press conferance with the combatants present.
    This appears to be an unsubstantiated rumour and nothing more.I would be shocked by a sudden turn around by the NYSAC only 3 and a half weeks prior to a sold out MSG.

    Knew Cottoe would find a way to get out of the fight. :yep

    Honestly though, I'd be shocked if this is true. Top Rank has been around far too long to not ensure major details like this were taken care of before announcing the fight and confirming the venue/location. HBO has put a lot of resources into promoting the fight, sold out venue, etc.
