Audley Harrison, does he do it for the money or pride?

    Cause I used to believe with Harrison it was all about "destiny" in terms of rewards, which was commendable, and was what endeared him to me, yet when you see him (pre fight)spinning as hard as he can to generate money for the fight, to make people believe in him, only to put on yet another lifeless performance, it makes you question, actually, is this guy just salesman in it for the money? The episode on Ringside just made me feel he was in repair Harrison reputation mode so he could extort more money that he hasn't earned out of the public.

    I don't think Harrison is cynical - he does it for pride.

    (Although pride and ego are sometimes the same thing, admittedly.)

    He was amateur for over a decade, and could of turned pro in 1998! with a offer from Frank ******.

    But he turned it down, and was laughed at by Frank ******. "When he told him, that he was going to become Olympic Champion".

    And he wasn't a young man, while he was amateur. But he stayed true to his heart and pride, and committed to the course.

    Pride..? Does somebody like Tony Pace have more pride than somebody like David Haye..? or Audley Harrison..? Who just so happened to have made a decent living from boxing, and their smart business moves.

    Pride is mis-understood in my opinion, somebody like Tony Pace in my opinion. Does not have that much pride in himself..........

    But i understand man, the forum is totally **** at the moment.

    To be fair I kind of regret posting it now, sorry. Only reason I brought it up is cause earlier I had been watching the Ringside Episode where Audley was in studio. It was the first time I'd saw the interview and it got me thinking that's all.

    Since he embarrasses himself at every outing I would say the money.

    It's not about the money. I dont know what motivates the man. Most fighters watch rocky to get going, i think he watches sister act.
