Which do you think is the best division in boxing? For me, it's down to these two:

    154lbs
    Miguel Cotto
    Saul Alvarez
    Sergio Martinez
    Erislandy Lara
    Paul Williams
    Antonio Margarito
    James Kirkland
    Alfredo Angulo
    Vanes Martirosyan
    Pawel Wolak

    168lbs
    Carl Froch
    Andre Ward
    Mikkel Kessler
    Andre Dirrell
    Glen Johnson
    Lucian Bute
    Arthur Abraham
    George Groves
    James DeGale
    Kelly Pavlik

For a long time, I think the 168lb division has been the best in boxing but now I'm starting to think the 154lb division has taken over it. There are so many excellent fights to be had at the division right now. The only fighter who I dislike off the super middleweight list is Vanes but all the others are good, honest fighters who will come to fight. Margarito against Kirkland, Kirkland/Angulo II, Canelo/Cotto, Martinez/Cotto, Angulo/Canelo, Kirkland/Cotto, Canelo/Margarito....all amazing fights on paper.

Super middleweight have an excellent top four, I think. Kessler, Froch, Ward and Bute are all elite fighters but beyond that, there's quite a gap. I think the positive thing about that division though, is that most of those top 10 can still improve, especially guys like Groves and DeGale and even fighters who I didn't list like Shawn Estrada, Don George and Thomas Oosthuizen. I think in the past decade or so, 168lbs has been really overlooked but it constantly produces quality fighters and I see that continuing in the future.

Which do you think the best in boxing? Would you say it's neither 154 or 168lbs but another division and if so, which?

147 does look like it will be good in a short while, yeah. Bantam is an interesting shout...what makes it so appealing to you, mate?

Faster pace to most of the fights and better technique as a whole rather than 'punchers chance' boxers getting undeserved shots.

Donaire, Agbeko, Mares, Perez, etc etc, great division ATM.

In terms of depth of talent i think light middle is top quality! Super middle is up there aswel. The two best divisions for sure.

It makes you realise how ridiculous martinez is calling out welterweights! You are sandwiched between the two best divisions in boxing where you can make some incredible fights. Stop asking for pac/floyd.

    154 is weak.

Cotto is #1 ranked according to Ring. Doesn't that say it all? Most of these guys are nothing but limited sluggers/brawlers. Little skills. Martinez is more a MW. Margarito/PW are done.
