I thought they did. If im wrong please link me to where it says otherwise besides this as there is no confirmed reporting here just a speculative figure from a month ago http://www.boxingnews24.com/2011/10/mayweather-ortiz-only-850000-ppv-buys/

but it still generated the Second highest grossing no heavyweight overall, me and bernie argument wasn't strictly ppv buys but that Floyd had a poor day money fiscally from the ortiz fight.

So? GBP did. It has to jibe with the tax information for both companies. HBO wouldn't allow them to publicly lie by a wildly off amount.

And HBO is owned by Time Warner. A publicly held company. Lies of this magnitude could/should get the SEC involved.

    Jibe - Match reasonably.

You can't report $78,440,000 in revenue then try to tell the tax man you made $30,000,000. They will audit the hell out of you. Same way a laundry owner can't say $X in revenue and have water and power bills saying something totally different.

Business (and investor) taxes are paid quarterly. So it isn't like this would be a 8 months from now thing either. They want their flesh.

no it doesn't have to jibe with both companies, HBO has no control over what GBP says

GBP could publicly say one thing and report to the IRS another

HBO never lied because they never released or confirmed a figure, post a link where HBO confirms the number GBP gave, they never confirmed anything and have no control over what GBP says

Cuz I assumed the espn link would suffice which gives the GBP released numbers which I thought were coordinating with the hbo numbers. its not like GBP said they were an estimate they said they were the numbers and have been reported about as such.

    PS **** ppv numbers lol

Are you joking? HBO (Time Warner) is owed a portion of the proceeds. So what they make HBO makes.

No they can't. This would be journalism/audit gold.

According to you they don't have to every worry about lying. They just file taxes otherwise. It is bigger than HBO and GBP. This is about taxes and investors.

My educated guess would be that they don't want to throw salt into the negotiations by putting numbers side by side.

So by your logic how do you know it isn't higher than the numbers released by ESPN etc? Actually how would you have any ****ing clue as to what the numbers might be, you basically own yourself here.

call them and ask HBO what the numbers are then, they won't answer the question

dan rafael has been calling HBO more than a month and hasn't gotten an answer either,

GBP can lie about anything they want, who's to say they aren't telling the IRS they make way less than what they say in public,
