Out of 10 what would you rate Juan Manuel Marquzes chin?

Within the first few rounds, I'd say it's a 6.

But after getting rocked or knocked down within that brief introductory period, he wakes up, and appears to absorb punches a lot better. Then it becomes an 8.

His ability to recover is great.

 

A solid 9 from me. He's never been knocked out, despite being caught by lots of world class opposition, been floored countless times and always manages to get right back up with a clear head.

 

I think he has bad balance but a solid chin

 

8 or 9. At welter more like a 7, still didn't get stopped by Floyd.

 

8-9, the problem is not his chin but his balance. I think marquez has a better chin than pac

 

PBF Pac Katsidis Barrera knock him down, but still recovered! 8 for me

 

7.5-8, but his powers of recovery are a 10.

A lot of people here are confusing recovery skills with chin. For me, he has a 6 chin and a 10 recovery.

 

seriously when we talk about recovery is because he has a great chin unless someone proves to me that you can have 0 chin and 10 recovery:think

 

7 but recovery and heart are 10+

 

He never seems to be properly hurt when he gets knocked down, maybe buzzed a bit but has never looked like getting stopped (maybes barred Pac 1) i gave him an 8, he has lasted the distance for 59 fights with some good punchers as well.

will have to watch the knockdowns again properly incase his chin is solid and he is getting caught in by positions etc.
