Interesting point to note. at this stage in his career, he has the same amount of tko/ko 1's as Tyson in the same point in his career. And in fact has more KO1's than Tyson. (interesting but pointless boxrec fact) Whether that's worth anything later on down the line is yet to be seen.

But people writing him off as having no heart, or paper chin, or he will get KO'd the minute he steps up is just silly and childish. No one knows how this guy will develop. Why don't you get behind your guy and give him some support instead of childishly writing him off on esb. It's partly to blame why the HW division is so bad when fans are so eager to write off prospects before they've even had a chance to prove themselves!!!

exactly im not writing him off, i simply dont know. i think its even more childish to call him the next tyson before he has faced anyone in the top 30.

tyson was knocking out world champs in the first 3 rounds. this guy knocks out butchers, plumbers, postmen.

**** me i thought brits were bad for hyping fighters!!

KK but look who Tyson was fighting at the same stage, similar bums. Every boxer starts off fighting bums and journeymen. Correct you can't tell if he will be as big as Tyson at this stage

But ffs but give the guy a break get behind him you ESB Yanks!!!

im not vso sure tyson was facing quite the **** opposition this guy is. plus tyson was about 5 years younger at this stage in his career.

the guy is definitely a dangerous prospect, because of his size and power but until he faces someone at least half decent! who knows if he's just a good athlete masquerading as a boxer.

To be fair, from the limited youtube stuff, he looks a better prospect than Fury!

Nah that isn't his latest fight.

His latest fight was against Daniel Cota who has a much better record of 17 - 3. Its not on youtube but it ended with a TKO in the 3rd.

Wilder? Where'd he come from? Seems like a decent record, if you worship KO percentages (and who doesn't) but making tomato puree isn't the equivalent of a young Tyson.

    - But I admit, he looks darned interesting. His offense is downrigght scary, but as with most prospects (except young Tyson) his defense looks non-existant.

19-0 with 19 KO's, and he's still fighting bums. Probably another victim of lousy management.

    - and BTW, it's "Deontay."

Other good prospects: Dinu, maybe Glazkov, maybe still Boytsov. Someone should let these 4 slug it out for a chance at Helenius.
