That would be my thoughts, as well.

Manny has enough power already. Speed always wins.

I am almost positive that Marquez will be surprised at Manny's power at welterweight. He fought FM at this weight and his punches hurt Marquez, I have a feeling that Pacquiao will stun him with the very first hard shot. I expect Marquez with his heart however to continue despite it. This could actually be very dangerous for him, so hopefully if it gets too out of hand his corner will step in. Should be a classic until then for the fans!

If Marquez fights smart, he will upset Pac. Marquez a counter puncher with good timing and now "power"? uh oh for Pac.

Timing is in fact the best weapon against speed. However there needs to be enough of your own speed in return in order to land those timed punches in between the brief second when you anticipate them and they land on your face.

In other words... Timing requires speed. In the first 2 fights, JMM had respectable speed along with strait punches. However, I feel he has lost some of his speed since then. Well BEFORE you factor in his bulk up which almost always saps more.

Also... Guess what "kills" timing? An unorthodox, unpredictable, high output style. That's why the first two fights were great. I just don't think JMM is on the same level anymore. Certainly not at this weight. But hey this is boxing and anything can happen.

I don't think this will be a problem for Juan. emmanuel also lost speed with the move up in weight and age. There's a very clear difference between his speed in the Cottoe fight compared to the Shane bout.

At his worst fighting weight, Marquez will have more success againt Pac than Cotto, Hatton, Clottey, Margarito and Shane, IMO.

Pac trained like an animal for this fight, and I doubt it's just to make a statement. In hindsight, Marquez has proven to be his toughest challenge, since they last fought. Is that because Manny is so much better of a fighter now? If so, this should not be competitive, as Marquez has slipped (physically) since then, and he is moving up two divisions. If not, we should see a fight similar to the last one.

Even though logically Pac should win the fact that he got a new shitty tat is the kiss of death for almost every fighter

    Marquez shocking KO late rounds
