Kessler - Stieglitz is expected to draw 25K at Parken at an average ticket price of above 150 USD. I reckon a unification against Bute could draw more.

I didn't even read what the OP said but agree. ESB has some really biased views and the writers like James Slater publish pure garbage as evidenced by his current "Mansour is the best kept secret in the HW division." He is a pure chump who I have seen fight in person many times; fat, slow, weak, etc. But you wouldn't have to see him in person to see that as one can just look at his boxrec resume. I digress.

Back to Bute. I have watched some of his fights on the internet and he looks VERY good. I have Ward (all along) to win S6 and think that the two should fight. Stylistically, that makes for a great fight as well. It wouldn't quite be Toney Vs RJJ but close. Ward is very complete and very smart. Bute likes to control distance and use footwork and angles to close the show. Very good fight and I would not call a winner very easily. That is one of the best fights to make.

And here, the difference is... SHOWTIME/HBO! You said they're not a promotor, fine.

Think timezone. As in, the most suited for PPV revenues. Hint, hint... that's not in Denmark.

A big fight like that warrants huge live coverage, promotion up to high levels, etc etc.

Bottom line is, Bute & Ward will resign with SHO or HBO, whatever. However one must understand the TV executives are not pawns in negos, rather have a big say on venue & date. That is the limiting factor for fights such as Ward-Kessler, S6 final rematch, Bute-Froch, Bute-Kessler...

Their big say is wheter they want to pay or not.

Europe is not the best place for live US coverage. The US is not the best place for live european coverage. Goes both ways my man.

Bute should first fight the loser of the S6 tourny and if he wins then he can go and challenge the S6 winner imo, he hasn't fought any of the top fighters @ 168 yet.

Alright, so I'll rephrase it for ya... "Neither Bute or Ward is leaving North America for a huge fight while under contract with either HBO or SHOWTIME".

They will not get the huge HBO/Showtime money if they fight in Europe that's right.

There are other sources of income as I tried to explain you. Sauerland has said that he'll make the biggest offer ever for a SMW fight for the s6 winner to go to Copenhagen and fight Mikkel Kessler. That offer might not include 2M from Showtime. Geddit?

    Ward/Goosen will say no. Geddit?

Kessler already went the WBO way with Bouadla, instead of the IBF route that led to Bute. Sauerland ain't making no fukkin offer to Interbox, TV networks would have to force the deal upon them both.

Ward has said he wants to beat Kessler fair and square.

Bute will not be s6 champ now will he?

So, because in your eyes Bute doesn't earn a shot against Ward, somebody who earns it even less will get it? :nut

Do you think Ward would ever agree to fight Bute in Canada?

No, but that kid doesn't draw. You could smear him with horses **** and honey, set him on the back porch on a hot summer evening, and he still couldn't draw flies, but he will not fight Bute in Montreal.

If Ward beats Froch, he will attempt to use his status as the S-6 winner to dictate the venue.
