These are very close fights (maybe but not necessarily robberies) that would've changed alot had they been scored the other way around.

Hagler Leonard: We all know the story. But I don't blame Hagler for being bitter given how close the fight was. Had he received the nod, Leonard might not be listed with the names of SRR and Armstrong and Hagler would be looked at as more than just the 2nd best middleweight of all time.

Trinidad De La Hoya: Had De La Hoya received the nod, the notion of him losing all of his big fights would be null and void. And he would've kept an undefeated streak that would've gave Mosley more nototoriety given he would've been the one to end it. Suprisingly, after this close call with DLH, people still viewed Trinidad as almost unbeatatble given he was the favorite over Hopkins. That wouldn't have been the case with an L on his record.

Quartey DLH: People today forget how much of a force Quartey actually was at this time. DLH was undefeated, the cash cow, and suposdely looked at as almost unbeatable once he got the nod over Whitaker. Had Quartey got the win, this would've changed the entire landscape of the welterweights for years to come. Quartey wouldn't have felt the need to move up and would've fought the likes of Mosley and Trinidad creating an even better welterweight scene. Maybe he wins, maybe he loses, but every fight he would've been in wouldve been interesting to watch. Quartey definitely would've been looked at as better than what he's currently viewed as.

Mayweather Castillo 1. This is a fun one. Had Castillo been ruled the winner, this would've changed the perception of both fighters drastically forever. Castillo would've been seen as just as good as the likes of Chavez and Morales having beaten a top P4P undefeated fighter at the peak of that fighter's career. Maybe he still burns out, but forever would he have that victory on his record. For Mayweather, I see him becoming similar to Leonard against Duran. He may even stop Castillo in a rematch and a third bout. Without the 0 on his record, the invincibilty factor is gone, and even the boasts may not be taken as seriously, but one thing is clear, Floyd will have and eager to prove himself more taking on all comers without excuse. The "42 have tried and failed" and the no one can beat Floyd Mayweather chants that people argue makes him the best would be gone but one thing will be clear. He would've fought all of the fights we want him to fight and there would be no question over how good he really is because IMO, 1 loss to Castillo with 2 possible stoppages over him in rematches plus fights with DLH, Hatton, Marg, Cotto,Mosley, Pacquiao and Williams, wins over all of those would put him higher than he currently is even with the Castillo loss and if he loses some, there still would never be a question to how good or how tough he actually is.

Pacquiao Marquez 2: Had Marquez received the win, a third fight would've already happened and Pacquiao would not be looked at as the powerful entity he is now. Part of what makes Marquez great is that he had these encounters with Pacquiao and Pacquiao went on to beat all these guys at welter. A victory over him and Pacquiao doesn't do any of that and there still would be a line between guys their size, and guys Mayweather's size. Taken away, it makes Marquez victory over Pacquiao just as good as his victory over Barrera keeping them both on that level of fighters. Marquez stays at 135 and Pacquiao stays at 140.

I thought about those too. Even Ali Frazier III had Futch waited 14 seconds and Ali quit. But since the effects of that is too much to write, I was waiting on someone else to do it.

Yep, if you think about it only having other judges in these fights would have changed boxing history completely... The difference in Ali's legacy had been immence. Ali's biggest upset win had never happened because he would never have qualified for the titlefight in Zaïre :yep

    Winky/Taylor
    Winky/Vargas

Had Winky gotten the nod in both fights, his legacy would've been noticeably greater.

    :?
Are you on something? That's what made the Chavez vs Taylor fight famous... stopped 2 seconds before the end of the fight.
Maybe you're mixing it up with Chavez vs Withaker (sp) or something :blood
