Pacquiao is not only much greater than Marquez, but a much better fighter too.

Come to think of it, imagine pacquiao vs Kats or Diaz. Your trying to tell me those guys would trouble pacquiao with their face first style?

ALl of Pac's wins after the second JMM fight have been over Taylor-made opponents. Pac has losses to Morales and lesser fighters.

ALl of Pac's titles after the JMM robbery have been cherrypicked. Diaz@135, DLH@147, Hatton @140 and Margarito@154!

    See answer to point #1.

Both fighters have wins over MAB. Pac did better but ultimately this means nothing.

Bottom line, I can understand anyone saying Pac is the better fighter.

But all things considered, NOT BY MUCH:deal

Oh right, I see. If I'd realized you were an irrational braindead fanboy troll moron earlier I wouldn't have bothered asking you for answers! Never mind...

It's not what I wanted to hear, you're right. I wanted to hear some decent, non-bias points that had some validity. You're a cretin and your post was ****. :rofl

I've forgotten more about boxing than a Generel Forum troglodyte like you will ever know. :smoke

Hmm.. I think the TS' aim of this thread is to get people to challenge the widely-used notion that JMM>Pac in skills, by comparison of resumes.

Well, here's my take on it: Marquez edges it in conventional technique and application, but Pac's unorthodox style is far less compatible to his opponents than Marquez' style, which often leaves his opponents bewildered, and it only helps that he's a southpaw.

It's not to say that Marquez is the superior technician OVERALL, but he's better at stringing it together in the way critics like to see it.

Marquez has good skills, and so does Cotto and many other fighters but what separated Marquez from the rest was the fact that he was able to adapt when the crucial time came, where others have folded (or in the case of Margarito, just said **** it and kept walking into the punches).

What a ******* thread, Marquez won 16 out of 24 rounds against a Prime Pacquaio when he was past his best for 1 of those fights. He's also fought all manner of styles, Pacman has not, he's been protected from movers and counter punchers. Popkins never even followed Marquez FW fights and hasn't watched them so his opinion is invalid. Honestly the reason for this thread is ******* insecurity and deep down they know the truth, Prime Marquez is better

He still did not beat Pacman. Morales beat Pacman. My favorite fighter is Hearns. And Tommy should have won the rematch on points against Ray but didn't. No matter what, you cannot get a win out of something which didn't turn out to be, no matter how much people want.

JMM does not have the resume of an ATG. Regardless of Norwood, and then John and Mayweather, he never beat Pacman. And I do not see why beating Barrera when he was older proves that Marquez is ATG.
