Will wlad FINALLY open up early and take Mormeck out before 6 rounds

German TV sponsors pay alot of money for commercial air time and plug their products in between rounds.

For Wladimir to take out his opponents early is counter-productive to the TV sponsors and results in a loss of revenue for both the sponor and the venue (and/or the fighter).


I believe it is a mixture of coasting and being tentative.

I do believe Vitali coasted vs Adamek though for the reason I mentioned above.

 

This whole athletic thing has more to do with background. Most athletes come from poorer backgrounds. Most middleclass kids are playing videogames and arnt allowed to play on the street. Its always been that way, poorer kids for some reason are way more interested in sports.

 

"Native Americans" have never done well in sports as far as I know, while they always looked in very good shape (I've actually only seen them in movies, so they were probably handpicked).
I don't know even one native American who actually boxed though. :blood

Jim Thorpe is arguably the great athlete in modern times. He boxed, wrestled, played baseball, football, and soccer.

He was top level player in each sport he played.:deal

I can't find any info on his fighting background, but my family has photos of him standing over KOd dudes back in the late teens. Seems like it would be on boxrec.

Yea Brewster had a good chin, and Peter was almost gone in the 2nd rd of the second fight. Anybody else probably would have been put to sleep or at least down.

I can't believe this to be him. Fighting pro only at 45 y/o. I got the photos somewhere......my family being of native american descent always considered him to be a role model

 

first off people knock wlads style..i like it..he does frustrate me sometimes but i still enjoy his fights..i like almost everything about him but what frsutrates me is the fact he waits that extra 2 rounds to finish off opponenets..i do think wlad carried chambers for his fans and prob money reasons..same way pac carrys his opponents of late..but to hate someone because he uses his jab to break a man down then finish him off is just ludacris you dont HATE someone for that..this fight with mormeck sucks donkey **** but for some reason people seem to think wlads going to change his style because of the poor opp..dosnt work that way im afraid..wlad isnt going to change his style hell do the same and itll come down to mormeck being able to take a beating or stay elusive for a while...anyone who says if wlad dosnt beat him in 4 dosnt know **** about boxing or boxers

 

I agree with all the above. Manny Steward designed Wlad's fight tactics based on caution and to avoid a loss rather than going balls out for the win.. Wlad simply isn't a mike Tyson type fighter and never will be... His style is effective and that's what counts. I also agree that he's not going to get complacent or take chances just because he's in their with a grade D level opponent.. I still feel that he stops Mormeck before the final bell, but not looking for a 1st round KO.

Not enough people talk about this. It's has to be the main reason. You can see, when he decides to finish it, he steps up a gear. There is a noticable difference in his foot speed and the power in his punches. The start of round 10 vs Peter recently is a perfect example. He came out moving as fast as he had in the first round and put him away.


Almost cost him a KO against Chambers though.

 

Look im not a scientist but i knw one thing for a fact.....
White people in their tissue make up have a fat cell then a muscle cell then a fat cell.......Black people have a fat cell a muscle cell and a muscle cell.....maybe that is why Black people are better athletes etc.....
