    Toliver has his left elbow held out, using it as a barrier and shoving Oliveira back with it. Left hooks and right hands by Oliveira, bashing Toliver against the ropes and getting obstructed but not denied entry by the horizontally upheld left arm. Toliver's face is getting pelted at least once or twice with every Oliveira combo despite his defensive efforts. Body shot by Toliver. Right hand by Oliveira. Counter overhand right by Toliver while backing up. Slapping flurry to the head by Oliveira, partially taken on the gloves.

    Toliver can occasionally land the counter right and can land left and rights to the body, but the man didn't even train, no energy to implement any offense except in short spurts, in the mean time Oliveira outworks him completely.

    Apparently he had to look abroad for inspiration and doesn't hold Brazil's erstwhile boxing hero all that sacred...especially since he plans to beat on the old man at middleweight! :patsch

    His countrymen are going to despise him, doesn't he realize that?

    It's like if Chavez Jr. fought Barrera, now.

    Slappy jabs and scrappy combos by Oliveira pushing Toliver back to the ropes. Toliver changes tacks, backing to the ropes and then pressing in with his forearms held out to lean against Oliveira and bending over to one side to slip and counter with body shots. Oliveira bangs him against the ropes and Toliver looks wobbly! Toliver holds, breathing very heavily. Toliver backs all the way into the corner with his guard up high. Body shots by Oliveira. Soft clubbing overhand right. Toliver is able to escape with a double hop to his left. He is trapped in the next corner moments later. Oliveira chips away with combos.
