Ricky Burns v JMM

Win lose or draw, Ricky deserves his shot on the big stage now... he's paid his dues, and it would be a travesty if he fought at domestic level following his last two performances. Good luck to him, whatever he does.

Mayweather is slick man .He made JMM miss all night .Mayweather has a great defence .Burns had a quality defence against Katsidis .Not that bad a post though .

I cant see this happening Billy regardless of the result tnite.....Ok I can see where your coming from with Marquez due to the way Ricky dealt with Kats compared to how Marquez dealt with Kats I cant see it Just yet, unless you know something we all dont....Do you???.......

Anyway, Id like to see the Burns vs Mitchell bout happen, then Ricky can go onto bigger fights pretty soonish....

I read slick boxers are the best .Even better than a quality counter puncher .A black slick boxer has probably the best rep I think .Mayweather Dawson Hopkins prime Mosley also Adrian Broner for example .That's why I say to the Burns haters that said he ducked him it was shamelesley if he did but he didn't anyway .

 

I think JMM is on the slide a bit, we will find out tonight for sure, certainly not the fighter he was imo. A prime JMM would beat Ricky, but at this time Ricky would have a chance if he boxed really well, I do mean really well.

 

No way would JMM fight Burns right now. Not enough money and does nothing for his legacy.

 

Cant see JMM wanting to fight Burns. It would be a real shame for a legend of the game to lose to a fighter of Burns quality

 

I think Billy would like Ricky to box JMM but for me Frank will want Kevin Mitchel as thats a sell-out and also a great fight for TV and is a genuine 50-50 bout I no before Billy say he boxed the head of him in sparring but fighting is different than sparring but I do favour Ricky long Jab to dictate the fight

Burns - Marquez would be awesome, but can't see where the money comes from for it, it's not a fight the world want to see, and only hardcore british fans will want to see it over here, Burns doesn't have a big enough following imo.

Even if Marquez loses tonight there are much bigger fights and easier sells out there for him, he can have his pick of the lightwelters, personally I'd like to see Marquez - Morales.

Why would JMM want to fight a no mark like Burns, and probably get screwed by paid off judges like Ian John Jewis etc on the scorecards.

 

another massage my ego by billy, ricky is a class boxer. billy got him fit and imo has not contributed alot to changing his style. he was an aggresive boxer as an amateur for years and very clever....ask craig mc....gary young....kevin anderson..etc................ricky burns made billy nelson..................
