I believe young Chris will be fighting for the British title in 12 months time. Mick likes to move his fighters on quickly and he will put him in with solid opponents. There is also the marketability factor. It is not just his name. Chris Eubank Jnr is handsome, athletic, intelligent and charismatic; he will grab people's attention. If Chris does the business ring then he will quickly become the prominent domestic middleweight. He has demonstrated great amateur talent, and has sparred with top fighters. Big fights will come very fast. Good luck to the kid. I look forward to following his career.
Not sure Fat Mick will be able to put enough shows on in a year to get him ready for a British title shot. Also quiet a few good prospects at the weight also.
Agreed. He'll knock over 3 or 4 journeymen in 12 months. I think even getting in 4 fights with journeymen is optimistic.
Don't be fooled by that Hennessey line about him being the best middleweight in the country already. Its bull**** and Mick knows its bull****, the kid is 21 so theres no rush moving him forward.
Just for the record I've never seen the kid fight but iam hearing great things about him he is said to be very very talented and has a great chin and is very strong so all that said maybe 12 months isn't at all optimistic onl time will tell good luck to him
Eubank began his amateur career in 2007. With the winning of his sixth amateur fight, he became the Amateur Golden Glove Champion for the State of Nevada in his weight division of 165 LB. With his eighth amateur fight he became the Amateur Golden Glove Champion for the Western States of the United States in his weight division. Eubank made it to the National Golden Glove Championship in Grand Rapid.
Amateur boxing ? almost a separate sport. Eubank jnr has had regular sparring with Cleverley,Groves etc.Worth 50 amateur fights at least nowadays i would imagine.Chris Sanigar working with Ronnie in the corner tonight by the way.
