Aside from Unilaterally deciding the May 5 date......:smoke

There's no reason the fight MUST be at the MGM. Arum makes a good point about he larger venues. Of course, common sense like that will not play a factor for floyd fanboys.

Man stop trying to spin ****. He never said he didn't want it at the MGM, he just said it's possible to fight somewhere else

You almost made me jump the gun and call Arum a ducker and other mean words

I agree. MGM is a fine venue, by why not do it in a stadium? They could probably come close to selling out a huge venue.

And fill it with boxing fans. Not hotel high rollers who get comped free tickets.

ARum isn't making a single point. Highest gates come from Las Vegas at the MGM, check the stats out. Both of them are going to make huge money from the PPV sales and rebroadcasting rights, I mean the fight most likely will be in the 2 - 2.7 mil PPV buy range. Get this **** down Arum.

yeah, Bob. Sure. Take Pacquiao back to Redneck Arena and see how he fares there versus what he does at the MGM.

Having it in a huge arena isnt key because the fight will do huge PPV numbers. All the other revenue coming in besides the actual ticket sales should suffice. MGM Grand is a good enough venue, and when this fight was originally announced I never thought that it'd happen anywhere but MGM Grand. But all of the sudden people started hating and shitting on MGM Grand once Bob Arum mentioned Cowboy Stadium and started putting other locations into people's heads. Prior to that, I never heard any of this objection to MGM Grand BEFORE. It came only after Arum started naming other places.

Arum is going to throw out names of competing venues to milk a higher site fee from MGM. It's business.

No one is hating the MGM Grand. Just discussing possible locations. What exactly would be wrong with holding it in a stadium that seats near 50k? :huh

Outside of Vegas or NYC, the only place i'd accept a fight of this magnitude is in the Superdome. This fight isn't going to happen at MSG or Yankee Stadium, taxes alone kill it. Greedy mother****ers. It should be an option, but it isn't.

Dallas is a ridiculous option. Dallas as a city blows ass. This is an event. Outside of the fight, there aint **** to do in that city, it's one of the most boring big cities in America.

The fight belongs in Vegas. Can you build a temporary stadium? Maybe, sounds far fetched. Other than MGM, there are no realistic venues in the city.
