Date and venue. Look, it doesn't matter if you like Arum or Mayweather, that's not the best way to try and negotiate a fight.
I actually agree with Arum. A fight of this magnitude would be amplified in a huge stadium with 50,000 fans or so rather thrn the indoor MGM arena. Would the Ali-Foreman atmosphere be as great if it was in a much smaller indoor venue? it wouldnt..
I don't have to make sense. History shows you what makes sense. The MGM is a world class venue. Period.
Hasn't Pacquiao fought 5 of his last 7 fights at the MGM Grand? It doesn't have to be there, but that seems to be the venue that offers the most money. I'm not sure why Arum is making an issue out of this. It's not like Floyd said it has to be at The MGM Grand or no fight. This is a non issue as far as I'm concerned.
Ah thats just my frustration with this ..Im sick of all the crap from both camps ..Its a no brainer to make the fight but they keep dicking the public around..
It is about more than the fight. At the MGM tons of money are made before and after the fight. Where should it be held? Cowboy stadium? Do a Google Map view of what is outside of that barn. A Walmart and a Discount Tire. Not ready for an event like this.
The rumble in the jungle, the thrilla in manilla, Tyson vs. Douglas...all wound have been SO MUCH BETTER in Vegas. Fact!! deal (impersonating a floyd fanboy, don't take serious )
Be-careful with your answer. Floyd saying "Pacquiao you're next!" is set in stone. Floyd reserving MGM on May 5 is set in stone. To ***** mind at least.
Ali-Frazier 1 had the best atmosphere of any fight. At MSG. 50k looks good on tv, doesn't mean the atmosphere is any better, it actually makes it suffer.
atsch Did you read the ****in article? Can you read? :think He mentioned the UNLV stadium. Guess what the LV means...:good
what exactly would have made the Thrilla in Manila atmosphere any better than had they fought in Vegas? 10k more people and turn up the temperature?
