Oh I am sorry...I must lack forum etiquette..using the word "mate"....****, no wonder you had to quote it...abhorrent behaviour. That fight wasn't finished right there and right then. Nevan could have continued, should have been allowed to continue because he wasn't "done" just yet.
I think your being abit harsh to be honest, matey was ****ed at the end how many times was he gonnar go down, how can you say Fury was saved by the ref. Fury had recoved from that knockdown half hour ago.. I think Fury needs to stop ****ing about now he has obviously got a good dig on him and a good heart, lets see what he can do with the right conditioning, get down the gym and start pushing weights because he needs that if he wants to continue in this sport..
Although, I don't actually think he as bad of a chin as you are making out, I do agree that he needs to sort out his conditioning and training. For me, Fat Mick is all wrong for him, if he was my fighter a top nutritionist would have been the first things I got him. Also, Fury needs to get a good defensive trainer, as his low hands are a joke, especially as he does not have a great chin and he is fighting in the HW division. And yes, this boy needs a few more domestic fights.
It was more the use of "mate" with "bollocks". I tend not to have the chutzpah to call someone "mate" in that situation. We're all different I guess. Most fighters could have continued at the time of any stoppage, that doesn't mean they should be allowed to. Obviously our definitions of "done" in this context is different. I think "done" is when the fight is effectively over as a contest, you think "done" is when we have a potential fatality on our hands so you can see a few more seconds action.
i never usually complain about a stoppage, but this is getting out of hand now. its happening time and time again, british referee's are looking to stop fights as soon as a few good shots go in, its ruining fights. can you imagine how long the james kirkland - angulo fight would have lasted in a british ring?
I'm by far not a Fury fan, but you guys need to stop letting your hatred of the dude cloud your judgement. I mean, "Fury was saved". No, the dude JUST knocked his opponent down twice. I mean, how could he POSSIBLEY be saved then? He was hurt, came back, and pretty much beat down his tired opponent. He WOULD have knocked him down again, and probably finished it in like the 6th. Stop hating the guy just because he isn't your cup of tea.
No, you're reaching a bit there. It was a premature stoppage in my opinion. There was never going to be any question of a fatality occurring. Ridiculous statement. Watson-Eubank II...I screamed from the ****in rafters for that to be stopped at the end of the 11th.....Jimmy Tibbs is a ****. Tonight, nah... But fair enough, we disagree.
Turn the "I'm going to stop this fight" into "This fight is stopped". I hate fights being stopped when someone has a chance. Bellew/McEnzie, Grovez/Anderson. I agree, happens time and time again.
Fury walked square on to a huge overhand right. It was his own fault for being thick, did he not realise that Pajkic was throwing the same punch over and over again. I don't care what fighter you are talking about, any fighter who walks square, hands down, into a solid punch is going to get serious hurt. Fury was hurt and you could see that when he stood up but he cleared his head in no time. He has fantasic powers of recovery. Again I'll agree with those that said Pajkic was going to go down for a third time. It wasn't if, it was when and I reckon it would have come in the next few punches. Pajkic was out on his feet with exhaustion never mind a dazed head.
I realized that about half an hour ago when you said my opinion was bollocks We'll just have to agree to disagree.
Agreed. Sure, the guy knocked Fury down. But it wasen't like he was on an even playing field when it was stopped. He was shattered, and Fury was going to put him down again in not only that round, but you can expect the rounds after aswell. It was not the greatest stoppage but nothing to really complain about. Like I think Groves and Bellew went down twice, recovered, and knocked their opponents down twice, both earning a stoppage. THOSE are bull**** stoppages because why couldn't their opponents recover as they did? Or at least why weren't they given the same oppertunity?
