T&M can seat 20,000 if configured for boxing. So are you saying Dallas Stadium would suck even though there's an 80 yard flatscreen?:rofl
Google maps says it all. It is a crap venue on the edge of town. Just the type of thing your gullible a$$ cosigns as sensible.
Do you care about a fight, or the ****in Vegas economy? Look, I don't give a **** where they fight as long as they fight. It will be a huge event REGARDLESS of where it occurs.
I care about Boxing. The Vegas economy getting money gets more fights. More fights gets Boxing the spotlight it deserves. We know you don't care. You are too clueless to know what to care about.
Ok, so let me ask you this. When Floyd Mayweather signed the contract to fight Manny on March 13th of last year, where was the fight going to be held when it was announced [it was an announced fight]? At the MGM Grand. This was asked for by the Pacquiao camp. They dictated the terms. The venue, the ring size, the glove size, and the weight penalty. Now that the fight is closer, it's best to shop around for bigger venues? That's an excuse. Mayweather-Mosley was at the MGM Grand and the gate did 11.1 million. Pacquiao's best gate in Cowboy's stadium only did 6.3 million. The guy who's supposed to be the biggest draw in the sport, couldn't top Mayweather's gate at the MGM Grand, in a 100,000 seat stadium. Let's be realistic here. The MGM Grand is where the biggest fights take place. They should quit bitching and making excuses. Meet Mayweather in the MGM on May 5. Take the tests, prove clean, dominate [if you can] Mayweather, go down in history as the best, and win the lawsuit. They have more to win than they have to lose. Yet they still find ways to stall the fight with the guy who has no chin and will be KOd inside of 4 rounds in an easy fight for Manny. If Bob Arum feels that strongly, they would have faxed the contract over to Floyd by now. Instead, they're making excuses, Max Kellerman asked Manny and his trainer about the fight on May 5th. Manny and Freddie both stutter stepped when Max said 'May 5th'. They didn't know what to say. Someone who's sure would've said yes with no hesitation.
Of course not, why the hell would I suggest something that ridiculous? My point is beyond that, Mayweather looks for any demands the other side brings up and uses it to ruin negotiations, yet it's fully okay for him to demand new rules all day. He would use this to ruin negotiations NOT BECAUSE I BELIEVE THE MGM IS THE GREATEST PLACE OR WHATEVER, this has nothing to do with my personal thoughts about the MGM. It's about Mayweather's mentality during negotiations.
You guys ought to get a grip, your actually arguing over where the fight will be held ffs... its all **** boring **** to me, all the outside `business` stuff gets on my tits... Im only interested in seeing these 2 ****s in the ring together.... the drama is getting very old.
Boring or not it is the type of peripheral nonsense that shuts the fight down. This is exactly why Arum does it. Nobody realizes the gravity of his nonsense.
