    Round 4
    40 -32 Benevidez Jr.

The jab and pressure for Benevidez Jr. won the round he was able to push Santana and land at will, but Santana also was able to get some work in, sadly not enough power to make the fight interesting.

If they picked a good fighter with some power we would have an interesting fight.

Anyone notice Merchant in the audience.

He made the Rodriguez fight much harder than it had to be and swore never to make that mistake again. Not sure what his deal is tonight; looked really anxious to get him out in the 1st.

    Waagh! Waauh! Waaaauh!

    Round 5

Benavidez is working the jab, steering Santana all over the ring. Santana ducks, swoops in to grab, scurries out, hugs the ropes, drops down again, dances to the side, tosses out some body taps and repeats the whole process all over. Benavidez just keeps coming on slow and steady with the left jab pumping and some sweeping hooks to discourage Santana from diving in low to grab.

    10-9 Benavidez

    Round 5
    50 - 41 Benevidez Jr.

Jr. controlled the round with the jab some more, but Santana definitely had sports when he was able to land cleanly and regularly to the body and head, sadly lack of power for him and the power of benevidez jr. and his landed shots pushed the round to benevidez jr.

Benevidez jr. has to work on his in-fighting and using aleft hook off the jab.

    Round 6

Benavidez jabs and hooks as he walks Santana down to the ropes. Jabs to the body, then the face. Santana is trying to crouch back with his gloves up in front of his face and wait for Benavidez to get close to launch booby-trap high right hand leads. Benavidez is too tall and too quick of reflex to fall for it, though. Jabs by Benavidez coming forward, landing. Jabs by Santana backing up, missing. Santana circles to his right, then pecks at Benavidez's guard near the elbows with some body jabs. Overhand right to the top of the head by Benavidez. Santana takes a wide step to his left and throws a wide left hook at the same time. Benavidez times a counter right hand while turning like a dial to keep up with Santana's movements. Jabs up top by Benavidez, and a flurry of soft short uppers to the face.

    10-9 Benavidez

60-50 Benavidez Jr. (6 rounds to nothing, plus four knockdowns)

He's been working on it. I've noticed from a lot of his sparring videos he'll spend a lot of time up close
