One of the best punches, period. Frazier had the best left hook in general, though. Nothing to do with his recent passing, as I've always said this. The most free-flowing hook in the business. It was ingrained into his repertoire more than any other punch of a fighter outside of the top jabbers.
Mike McCallum-Donald Curry was a sick left hook too. The left hook Joe Frazier floored Ali with in FOTC SRL-Dave Green was also a great shot. RJJ-Montell Griffin II was an awesome punch as well. Those 4 are the only real competition that SRR-Fullmer II has imo.
Dempsey-Sharkey featured an alltime left hook...as well as Foster-Tiger and Foster-Quarry....as well as the aforementioned McCallum and Walcott hooks.
If you ever saw the 80s video "Boxing's Greatest Knockouts", they tried. I think it was Teddy Bremner said "Did you see that punch? That punch was perfect!" Fullmer himself said he was in coner and turned to his trainer and said: "Jesus for an old man, he has a ton of energy, jumping up and down between rounds, it was then, I was informed the fight was over..."
