I know that and I do acknowledge clearly in my post that Arum is bringing up anything knowing that Mayweather would instantly eat it up and ruin it only to go out and claim "See, Mayweather never wanted it, we agreed to all!". It's nothing but a bait and a bait Arum knows Mayweather would easily fall for.
I'd rather have it in Vegas because I'd take a trip there. I have little interest in traveling to Dallas.
At this point I don't think it matters where they fight. Too much time has already gone by. The fight just needs to happen. There has been so many disagreements; in order for the fight to happen one party has to concede to everything. FMJ obviously isn't concerned about "maximizing revenue" so that tells you it's not that big of a deal. The party has to begin. And basically Arum is holding us up by saying he wants a bigger pinata. I've noticed Arum will agree with one thing but will always find a way to disagree with something else. Can't move into square #2 if one of your feet is in square #1. Gotta have both feet in #2.
This fight should be in that big stadium in Texas that Pac has fought in before. No way should a fight that big be in a 20k arena.
The biggest fights usually happen in Vegas and the MGM Grand nowadays, casinos can outbid larger arenas because of drinkers and degenerate gamblers, but it's pretty obvious by now that Mayweather and Arum have gargantuan egos and enjoy annoying each other. Arum's not going to let Floyd dictate this, he's at least gonna say something like "let's look around".
that is the bright side. Nobody has an opponent in the cards, and actually neither has an opponent that's legitimate considering the circumstances. Hopefully by New Year's we know the immediate future for both.
Absolutely! I tend to ignore most talks when one of the guys have an opponent in front of them already. But after tonight, there had better be some damn headway made for these two to tussle.
are there any decent fights on this undercard? Top Rank puts together some horrendously shitty cards.
