    Laurente is slamming away with left and right hooks to the body. Byrd calls out "Stop stop stop!" as Laurente is winging shots on Bruce in the corner. Byrd is annoyed at the disobedience and runs up to pull Laurente back. Whew, thought we were about to get a hot-tempered DQ. Laurente keeps jabbing and circling left, chin tucked. Bruce is just keeping a turtle shell and throwing some high jabs of his own. Laurente is ducking or side-stepping them and throwing hard counter combos but not very accurate. Hard left hook by Laurente catches Bruce on the upper back as he turns away from it. Laurente pops a right jab, tip-toeing to his left. Bruce is blocking most everything. Little offense in return, though.

    Hard round to judge, Laurente was more active but Bruce was accurate.

    I'm siding with the Colonial, I'm giving that round to Bruce off the clean landing jab and defense he displayed.

    Bruce is trying to jab out of his guard. Laurente just hammers down with left and right hooks, nonstop for the better part of a minute. Just plugging away. :toney :toney :toney :toney Bruce stays upright, standing straight and tall with his gloves up and throwing jabs economically. Slamming ambidextrous hook attacks by Laurente circling to his right. Mostly hitting glove, but Laurente is the only one working. Circling right, Laurente throws a body and head combo. Bruce misses a jab. Flurry to the body by Laurente. Straight right by Bruce is blocked. Right hand lead by Laurente clips him. Body flurry by Laurente again.

    I have to give that round to Laurente on just outright aggresion and the clean body punching and shots to the head he landed in his flurries, even though Bruce was able to catch him at times.
